DC Catch-All [Spoiler Zone]

Picked up WW, wife who is really not one for super hero movies had heard enough buzz she was interested. All in all the movie was great by DC standards. Not that it takes much there, I am happy my girls will have options while they grow up. My biggest issues were that it opened on too much crummy CGI fighting and I couldn't buy in after that. I might need to watch it a 2nd time to like it more.

It is as good as Iron man and the other movies I liked but I can't take the who can hit harder God fight anymore. The movie seemed slow at times and lost me. (Full disclosure, I was tired and had a long day with the kids, after our 67 hour GOT catch up this was next on deck so maybe it didn't stand a chance as it was entirely unrelated)

Was a fine movie I am just starting to feel done with them. Way better than BVS, Sups, and SS, Although I loved the first half of intros in SS.

After all the hype I was looking for more. Same with Dr. Strange, heard it was crap for so long I really enjoyed it. Can everyone tell me everything sucks so I can enjoy life?

Ben Affleck’s Harvey Weinstein woes threaten ‘Justice League’
The Weinstein black hole seems to be sucking in plenty of people, Affleck being one of the more prominent accessories. I'm looking forward to JL but it'll be interesting to see what effect public opinion of one of its stars has on the box office.

Not to make light of Affleck's accusations, but maybe to offset some of the outcry against him Warner could edit in a scene where WW kicks Bruce Wayne in the nuts -accidentally, of course.

Justice League Trailer (2017) | 'Justice Is Served' | Movieclips Trailers

I'm not saying I'm not sold, but I'm still not convinced. Maybe an 8th trailer will do the trick?

JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie Clip - Steppenwolf Attack (2017) DC Superhero Movie HD

Wonder Woman Rescue (2017) DC Superhero Movie HD

Danny Elfman's Batman theme used for Batman actors not named Michael Keaton or Kevin Conroy feels odd.

Justice League Trailer - Batman and The Flash vs Steppenwolf Easter Eggs
*spoilerish. Just clips but gives away some plot points.

One thing that bugs me.

Spoiler:

If Flash needs a suit with heat shields like the space shuttle....why doesn't it have to cover his mouth, cheeks, and eyes? Wouldn't they burn up?

It took me until I clicked on the review link to figure out that Cavill was at the end.

I still don't understand Miller's eyebrows.

That's a proper moustache for you. A pity they digitally removed it from the movie. I would love to see a super moustache doing super moustachey things.

TL;DW - Every DCEU Movie Before Justice League

How much did Joss Whedon change in Justice League? WB producer says '15-20%'

That seems like quite a bit really. And that doesn't make me unhappy since I like Whedon's stuff a lot more than Snyder's

Every single review I’ve read reeks of ‘damning with faint praise.’

Yeah, when the most positive thing one reviewer has to say is "Aquaman is awesome," I have to wonder...

Well, if you were someone who watched Wonder Woman and thought that the Amazons were a bit over-dressed, you'll be happy to know that in Justice League they've made some ... changes.

Apparently Boob Armor isn't just for JRPGs or Boris Vallejo paintings anymore.

aaaaaaaabs.

What's hard is I'm coming off a nice buzz from Thor and don't want to ruin it. I'll wait until the GWJ community chimes in before I go see this.

Posted this over in the Comics thread before being told this thread would be more appropriate.

I thought it was completely, and thoroughly "okay". A rock-solid 6/10. A few really fun moments, some good jokes, but ultimately felt a bit bloated and uninspired. The main villain was entirely uninteresting, the pacing was weird, and most of the entertainment came from the interactions between the various heroes.

Barry was really odd to me. I ended up loving him, but he was so different from the Flash that I know and love. I really enjoyed the depiction of the Speed Force, though! I think he was the highlight of the film.

Wonder Woman felt like a step back. She felt more...Sexualised? More butt-shots, her clothing was slightly more provocative, and the choreography was a huge step down from her standalone film. Still a strong performance, but her portrayal felt weird to me.

Batman was great when he was being Bruce Wayne, but was comically rigid in the suit. The first scene where he sort of just bends backwards a little bit when something explodes in his face made me laugh out loud.

Aquaman was good! I didn't feel great about Momoa taking over. He lost that regal feel the classic Aquaman has, but brought in a really badass biker sort of hero. He really grew on me.

Cyborg was good fun. A bit too much CGI, sorta looked weird from time to time, but I enjoyed his acting.

Steppenwolf, like I said, was one of the most boring villains I've ever seen in a film.

Also...Aren't we missing a certain big character from the comics...? I was pretty upset that a certain something/someone only briefly appeared. Kind of a big deal to me, personally.

Fun, average film. I don't regret paying for movie tickets, but it left me feeling nothing special.

This is a movie I look forward to seeing at home when it's available. Just like comedies, dramas, indie's etc. I have zero interest in the action sequences and it seems from many reviews like a_unicycle's that the best parts come from the character interaction.

If I’m being honest, these are also the best bits of the Marvel movies for me too.

I haven't seen JL yet but this was also my impression just based on the previews. Quite a departure from her solo movie.

I didn't hate it, and don't dread what's next. But, yeah, it's not exactly good. Mostly, I'm happy to have a Superman who is recognizably Superman, not Weirdo Mopey Randian Dr. Manhattan Fan Fic Man. And, just to beat a dead horse, know who would have made for a memorable, distinctive villain?

The wayfarer clan quite enjoyed this.

Which made it all the more upsetting. It's bot blatantly in-your-face sexualisation, but it's a definite change in tone. Sure, partly due to the time period, but I think they could have laid off the butt-shots.

Only if they cast Ed Asner.
