I would caution to folks that the trailer shows some brutal imagery.

Meanwhile, Sucker Punch has a new game about samurai.

All the weeb games I wanna play are PS4 exclusive.

At least it's not actually a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. spiritual successor set in Japan like I thought it was for a second when I got Tsushima confused with Fukushima because if it was I'd probably definitely have to buy a PS4.

Yea that Spiderman game and the Shadow of the Colossus remake kind of have me wanting to get one as well.

They seem to be going out of their way to make Kratos more likeable. What I really disliked about the original games what what a basically evil person he was so I am liking that more.

On that video the switch version has a weird blur. Almost like everything is slightly out of focus.

It's a combination of lower resolution and motion-blur due to running at 30 FPS. Everyone has been saying the game is "ugly" while docked and played on a TV, but it is more that the lower resolution and motion-blur are more noticeable when docked than on a smaller screen.

Not sure how I feel about that art style. On the one hand it's better than Might No. 9 and is an evolution of what they did on the PSP. On the other hand, I really liked the return to 8-bit aesthetics with 9 and 10.

I didn't. I like this art change and am glad they're going with something shiny.

I don't love it and it feels a little empty, for lack of a better word, but I'm glad they didn't go back to 8 bit. I'm hoping, over the course of the next year, they will focus on the art a bit to make it more atmosphere rich.

YES YES YES YES!!

Meh. I'd rather have Half Life 3 but it's become its own Duke Nukem meme at this point.

Death Stranding

NSFW : lewdness

I think I can live without ever playing another Kojima game. He has some neat ideas, but he needs someone to rope him in and keep him from being too weird.

In other trailer topics: ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GTFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Left 4 Dead meets Payday with some Aliens or The Thing vibes tossed in for good measure. Sign me up.

It's about time we got another zombie game like this. I hope there's more than just a simple story mode.

I feel like a few years ago the idea of a World War Z game would have been pretty well-received but the movie adaptation killed off good will.

Yep, like Telltale stype but that trailer- running zombies so more of a film tie in then. No hope for this game.

That looks great and made me smirk when I saw the name "Bishop". I wish we had an idea of targeted release window or platforms!

Edit: I just realized that it seems like this is just a AAA take on Space Best Terror Fright which isn't a bad thing.

Considering the footprint zombies have in our pop culture it's a little surprising that there is no zombie-themed video game which has managed to make much of a lasting impact.

Games like DayZ and H1Z1 completely turned into battle royale games or sandbox douchebag simulators with nobody remembering or caring zombies were supposed to be a part of it.

Dead Island is mostly remembered now for tacky marketing.

Dying Light was a perfectly OK game but it came and went.

The Dead Rising franchise has made it to four installments but is hardly an industry force.

The most popular and influential zombie video games since the turn of the millennium are probably Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 (which sort of spawned a genre of co-op/asymmetrical multiplayer shooters) and the zombie modes of the CoD series (which I am inclined to say do not count).

H1Z1 started as battle royale or a rather a more condensed version of DayZ.

DayZ had it's zombies pulled from the game for quite awhile because of performance issues.

Neither were douchebag simulators. They are versions of survival games and expecting everyone to be all hugs and kisses is to have a very naive expectation of human interactions in a survival setting.

I thought H1Z1 had a zombie mode originally too because of its name. Guess not.

Douchebaggery doesn't stop being douchebaggery because it's expected and predictable.

In any case, my point, which was about the relative lack of "splash" zombie games have made and not about a judgment on the merits of any of the games I've mentioned in and of themselves, stands.

Maybe, but your description alluded that everyone playing those games were douchey which is not the case.
