NFL 2017 Week 9 Thread

Savage now 9-of-29.

It's a 17-7 game. It's not a hopeless game where it no longer matters.

How did Julio Jones drop that.

Savage actually completed something, Texans get a TD and a defensive stop, and now they have the ball back down by 6 with 3 minutes. Switched off RedZone to watch this.

What a savage way for Houston to lose, fumbling the ball away.

Must be great for Texan fans that their owner hates BLM more than losing.

So there's been a couple of stories about trading for Garoppolo that have popped up.

First up, apparently the Browns did reach out to New England as recently as October 28 to try and trade for Garoppolo. The Patriots told them he was not for trade.

The Browns said "OK" and slunk away.

Meanwhile, according to Jay Glazer, when John Lynch called Belichick to try and trade for Garoppolo, Belichick told him the same thing he told the Browns, no, Garoppolo was off limits.

So, Lynch called back and asked Belichick, "would you trade us Tom Brady?"

As far as I've ever observed he's a pretty level-headed guy. That's very surprising.

So mind tricks do work on Sith lords.

That last TD by KC was flipping fantastic. I’ve wondered why we don’t see that more often.

Pretty cool skit after the Chiefs go ahead TD. Kelce wins a potato sack race.

Beat Hard throws the ball into the back of Trent Brown's head, ball goes into the air, INT, pretty much seals the game.

I know Brown is a giant but damn, at least make the defense do something to get a pop-up INT.

Wow, the Rams and Eagles both scored 51 points. That doesn't happen often.

Earlier this week, Vontaze Burfict said: "Fournette can beat you and I’m not sure Blake can beat us"

Fournette: 0 carries, 0 yards, did not play
Bortles: 24-of-38, 259 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Jaguars win 23-7

That Seattle game was nothing until it was something. Wow.

You can't be SEA and play their type of football and have a K who won't hit FGs. Period.

Why did we not keep Hauschka?

Well, the Chiefs certainly won the celebration game.

Well the Eagles go into their bye week at 8-1. Certainly not the record I had predicted. But now things get tough. Two games against Dallas as well as Seattle and the equally surprising Rams. Those 4 game will probably decide the division as well as playoffs.

I WAS JUST KIDDING AROUND

Carr playing Raider football with that TD bomb.

It's true. Jim Sweeney would have loved him back in the old Big West Conference days.

Well that was an interesting fumble.

Also, if you're in Cincinnati and watch the NFL on Sunday nights you're getting a brutal overdose of Chris Collinsworth. He in the booth and in 85% of the commercials.

Ha ha Julio Jones.

And Cam Newton dunks on ATL.

I'm not sure which one was more satisfying, tbh.

Speaking of Cam, I have no idea what he meant by his Titanic comment today. None whatsoever.

This has to be one of the dumbest looking stadiums I've ever seen.

The calm before the ICEBERG, RIGHT AHEAD!

Yeah, plus I thought he was smarter than to try to punch a helmet.

I'm pretty sure Cleveland fans would take Kevin Costner as their GM right now.... wonder if he's available.

Brock Osweiler, everybody.

Amazingly, there's a lot of people on Reddit and elsewhere that think Sashi Brown is going a great job, and everything is Hue's fault.

Jameis Winston is being sat down for a few weeks to rest his injured shoulder, so it's time for the full Ryan Fitzpatrick experience.

Hopefully he's also being given a time-out and being told to sit in the corner after his asinine behavior yesterday.
