Nope, wife is working. I was just going for a slightly ominous 'here comes the tide' kinda thing. Believe me I would totally hit you up if we were going to be in town.

Jeff Tedford has already guided Fresno State to more wins this season than they got in the full final year under DeRuyter. 2 > 1! And one of those 2 was actually against an FBS school, and a conference game at that!

Louisville at NC State tonight!

Where's the rest of the weekend preview?

Sorry Stele. Seems your O-Line is a bit better than ours.

Spoiler:

This is not a compliment.

Yeah that was great when they false started twice to take us out of FG range.

But our defense makes every QB look like a Heisman candidate.

Press coverage, wide open.
Zone coverage, wide open.
Drop 8 on 3rd and 15, total prevent, wide open.

f*cking infuriating to watch for 3 hours.

Meanwhile best running QB in the country and lead RB averaging 5ypc, so let's pass on 75% of downs. Good scheme, Bobby. Great gamelan.

So tired of coaching incompetence. Some of these same mistakes have been happening for 3 years.

So UGA landed the number one overall recruit for this cycle in dual threat QB Justin Fields. Which means that if no one transfers (is that even possible?) our QB room next year will be the number 1 QB from the '16 cycle, the #2 pro-style QB from the '17 cycle and of course Fields.

Also, their names would be Jacob, Jake and Justin.

However, I can't see how Jacob Eason doesn't transfer if he hasn't earned back the starting QB spot by the end of this year.

These are the kind of problems that I can deal with for my team.

Iowa State upsets the #3 team in the country and no one has posted all day?

So Texas should be ranked above Oklahoma now since the Longhorns beat Iowa State last week? I dig what you're saying here, Fed.

I actually made that joke to my friends!

And MSU upsets UM! What a day.

I was coaching my daughters soccer team, so I didn't get to watch the upset. Its a wonderful day to be a Cyclone!

Dat catch!

So if the college football playoff started today, we'd have:
1. SEC
2. ACC
3. Big 10
4. SEC
On the bubble: Pac 12
Nowhere in the picture: Big 12

In related news, the sun rose in the east this morning, and the rain outside my window is wet.

Welp, Michigan almost pulled off a win despite going -5 in turnovers in the driving rain.

That drop at the 30 on the final drive was brutal. Could have had several shots at the end zone from there.

I approve of this post.

Jucofett - I also approve of coaching your daughter's soccer team. Y'all should have played this QB in your previous game!

And Louisville drops from the AP Top 25 for the first time in 3 seasons.

*sigh*

(Slides over, hands Stele a beer)

Sorry man, welcome.

DVR'd it, found out the result and am glad I didn't actually sit through that game. It's a damn shame, given how good that defense is, that the offense so discombobulated.

So for 18 years of coordinated cheating among the entire athletic department, UNC gets off with no penalty

Eh, that's not exactly what happened except for the getting off without a penalty thing. That's accurate.

Unrelated: You can watch college football this weekend.

Oklahoma-Texas (3:30 p.m., ESPN) is the only must-watch out of the bunch because tradition. Otherwise, meh, it's football.

Cal still scheduled to play WSU in 3 hours in air conditions similar to the worst days in Beijing or Shanghai. Right now the AQI is over 160. Basically they are saying that they won't cancel the game until it hits 200. At the same time, the university is telling students to stay indoors...

AQI: Unhealthy (151 - 200)
Everyone may begin to experience health effects members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.

If any of you are watching look for me, I may be one of 50 people in the stands.

How will we see you through the haze?

Seriously, though, my best wishes to all y'all out that way. I've seen the aftermath of a major fire like that (Los Alamos in 2000) but can't imagine living through something like that when it's actually burning.
