Trailer Catch All

Okay, so... what's the next Simon & Garfunkel song to be made into a movie?

I vote for The Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine directed by Terry Gilliam.

Final trailer...

What I love about this is that, even with all the trailers, we have absolutely no idea what the plot is. Yeah, Ryan Gosling's character finds Rick Deckard and Jared Leto's character is maybe doing something bad and there are Replicants but... that's about it.

And they have absolutely nailed the aesthetic.

Pretty sure we have the production designer of many many Coen films to thank for that.

And the reason the design looks so good is of course that master painter of light on film, Roger Deakins.

Oh, and a twice Oscar nominated, multiple editing award winning cutter probably doesn't hurt.

Denis Villeneuve is just the icing on the production cake.

I hear the grips were pretty swole, too.

Even if a movie's trash I'll still watch it if he shot it.

Almost no contest my favorite currently working director at this point.

I'm unreasonably excited for this Blade Runner.

A little light hearted fun!

Paddington 2

This looks surprisingly good for a Japanese live action.

This looks surprisingly harmless for a venereal disease.

I agree. Japanese live action is the herpes of the film world.

Dave Made a Maze was posted many months ago and it's been available on Amazon for a month or two now.

It's a fun watch!

Oh right. I'd better watch it then.

I wanted to see it, but it wasn't in any of our theaters

The Jaegars actually look less interesting this time, which saddens me. There's also something about it that does seem to be lacking... I dunno, that special Guillermo thing. But I'll go see it anyway.

Yeah, I saw the Pacific Rim 2 trailer before Blade Runner 2049 last night, and it left me strangely un-enthusiastic.

Re: Lifeline - Finally an interesting reason for my YouTube Red subscription (beyond ad-free YouTube, that is).

Replicas looks about as B as it gets...

OMG CAN'T WAIT OMG.

What is it, power rangers now? The first movie is one of my "Dud brain no want think. Put dumb film on. Make dud brain no think" films, but this looks terrible. I love Boyega, but that looks like a hard pass.

This is me. My inner 12 year old is jumping up and down with joy.

They had me at Bunk playing Jim Greer.

I want to like it but it just seems terrible somehow.

Really wish they'd stop with the coy teasing of Superman. We all already know he's in it, dipsh*ts!
