Ruthless and I played on a windy day in Cleveland. Lag was an issue for both of us. We traded a few homers, and I was able to capitalize on a few opportunities. Good Game, Ruthless!

Well, the Twins came out swinging in the first inning, and after some fielding errors by the Tigers, scored a quick run to start the game off.
""This does not bode well,"" thought the Tigers manager.
""Uhh... Why did I just say bode?"" he wondered, as he spit his chew into the dugout drain.
No matter. Nate Robertson pitched a decent game from then on, and after a few slow innings, the Tigers'' bats started connecting, scoring 2 runs in the 4th inning. Minnesota quickly answered back to tie the game in the 5th. The Tigers, however, could not be held down, scoring another run in the bottom of the 7th to make it 3-2.
But, all was not well in Tigersville.
After 2 fine innings in the setup position, Chris Spurling was looking a little ragged. He was pacing around the mound, and seemed to have developed a facial tick. Batter #1. Double into right center. Next pitch - passed ball, runner to 3rd. So, with a man on third and no outs, the Manager picked up the white courtesy phone, and called on Troy Percival.
His 95mph fastball was just too much for the Twins. Percival scored 3 HUGE consecutive strikeouts, stranding the runner on third and securing the win for Bonderman and the save for himself.
Sadly, due to a design flaw, the managers were not able to meet afterwards to discuss the game. (Seriously, what''s that all about?)
Great game, Romulox. Hopefully those connections issues will continue to sort themselves out.

Yeah, great game Warlock! That was kind of weird when the voice chat just sort of ended after the last strikeout, a ridiculous strikeout at that, as most of mine were... DAMN YOU TROY PERCIVAL! YOU ARE THE THORN IN THE TWINS'' SIDE!... um... either that or I just can''t lay off any ball thrown out of the strike zone.
I''m hoping the lag gets better with the coming of summer and the moving away of all the college students here on campus. We''ll have to wait and see I guess.

Yeah. One of the worst decisions ESPN (or 2kSports or whoever) made, to have the chat just end abruptly right at the end of the game. Sort of made me feel dirty about the last pitch being inside heat.
The thing I''ve decided about batting is this: I''m going to swing at more pitches than I should. It''s unavoidable. It''s been the curse of every baseball game I''ve ever played. So, instead, how about I work on being good at connecting with pitches, even those that ARE outside the strike zone a little. There was one at-bat (I-Rod, I think) where I got 2 quick strikes, but then connected with 5 pitches for foul balls. Sure, I ended up striking out, but in such a pitcher-driven game, any extra pitches I can make him throw is going to help me in the long run.
So, I might strike out a lot, but I''m probably gonna get 12 hits, too. No called third strikes for THIS GUY.
