Game week! Time for the annual seasonal profile icon update.

I've heard there are a number of players out for Florida, any Gators here that can speak about that?

Absolutely not a Gator (I don't know of any that are on this site) but yes, there are 8 players suspended for the game, including probably their best receiver (Antonio Callaway).

Weather now says high 70s and thundershowers in Chapel Hill which sounds wonderful compared to the hot, sunny and humid I saw in the long term forecast a week or so ago. We arrive Friday afternoon, leaving on Monday, so a quick turnaround trip for us.

It has been blissfully cool here the past few days. We're not running the AC, which is weird as hell for late August. Hope the rain holds off in Chapel Hill.

Carolina is kind of a mess, too. They lost a lot of talent from last year. I think the offense will be OK. As for the D, it wasn't great last year, and it was an up year for UNC's defense. This might be a 50-45 game.

Indiana leading Ohio St nearly the entire 1st half and no posts?

I've been playing in the Hurricane Bowl instead of watching.

Welcome to Greensboro? Due to weather at RDU I am now at GSO airport. Anything good to eat here?

Not at the airport that's for sure. GSO is tiny. There's some great stuff in Greensboro though.

At this point I hope you've moved on though.

Made it to Raleigh and went straight to Beasleys Fried Chicken and Honey. Great stuff.

D'oh! Sorry I missed this thread. We've got plenty of good eats in the Gate City. You wouldn't know it by driving straight through town on I-40. That road is not our best look.

Glad you found Beasleys. My daughter and I hit that place last summer. I still dream about the chicken.

Sorry the weather's so grim down this way. At least it's not hot, right?

Wait, what? Maybe you confused us with Greenville? This ain't Raleigh or Charlotte, but we're still bigger than Winston, at least for 5 more minutes.

Specifically the airport in Greensboro, where Carl was stuck. I fly out of there a lot, but I've never bothered to get food there.

No quibbles about the airport. That's why most people I know seem to fly out of RDU or CLT. And it's probably best to pack your own lunch.

Hello from Atlanta, guys!

Oh, and ROLL TIDE! I'm nervous for the game.

Hmm. New Texas just as overrated as old Texas the last decade

This is literally the high point of my week.

Looks like Carl had a good trip now too.

No kidding. Looks like Cal, by just showing up, exposed the fact that Carolina has no answer at quarterback. Bodes well for your game next week, Stele.

Yeah tickets might suddenly get cheaper too.

My wife doesn't want to go but I'm thinking about it

No discipline, no run defense, and no run game of our own. Nothing's changed.

GO BEARS!!!!!

Congrats, Carl! And congrats, too, for showing the world that Carolina really isn't a football school, bless their hearts.

WatchESPN is borked.

I wasn't able to really watch much today, but I thought y'all's run game looked pretty decent during the times I was.

Hey Abu.... Where did all the FSU fans go? Your side of the stadium is empty...

Rolll Tide.

Little bit closer than it should have been, and still turnover problems. But Lamar was still amazing.

One broken play where he picked up 12 yards alone. Not another player at his level that could have pulled that off. 485 yards and he actually missed on a few, could have played better.

Also lost Jaire Alexander, All American DB. Hopefully it was just a bad sprain. Going to need him back.

I wasn't expecting Michigan's defense, replacing 10 of 11 starters from last year, to hold Florida's offense to 3 points. Aside from 2 particular plays, I was surprised how much better than Florida Michigan looked.

It remains to be seen as the season goes on whether Michigan is good, Florida is not so good, or some combination of the two!

Pretty good day for the B1G as a whole, too. 10 wins against 2 losses by my count, with one of those losses being Purdue losing in that close one against Louisville.

I think just as important is the fact that you may actually need a quarterback to beat Cal. Last year any stiff back there with a few WRs that could block down field would be more than enough to spring an RB or a WR on a short pass for a 20+ yard gain.

Despite giving up 30 points, the D looked pretty good. There was a garbage time TD and another Carolina TD set up by a Cal INT that left UNC with a 1st and goal from the 4. QB for Cal still looks shaky. The numbers on Ross Bowers are pretty solid and we definitely had a good game plan going in, but he missed open WRs on streaks down the field pretty badly, and both INTs were into coverage that a more experienced quarterback would have avoided.

Gig 'Em Aggies! Beat the hell outta UCLA! This game was a crazy overtime game last year.

Good to see Florida (albeit with suspensions) wasn't that hot, because we actually play them this year, at their place. Last time we played them was the debut of one Jonathan Football.

Sorry to hear that DeAndre Francois's season is over, FSU peeps.

Just saw that half an hour ago. Sorry Abu.

It really sucks and our schedule is going to be brutal on any replacement. We didn't have much in the way of plan b at QB as our only backup with experience (11 passes) may not be the best.

Whelp, next man up- it's your turn. Good luck

No lead is big enough for me to feel safe, but damn, this start is better than I could have possibly dreamed. We are dominating the trenches.
