LOGistICAL - Sublime Logistical Strategy Puzzling

I wish I had been able to see the gem that you guys see. I was in the mood for a logistics / shipping goods game. I think this is one of those games like Diablo where people love it and I don't get it. I think if the developer could evolve the game design into something that requires a bit more strategy and can work the jankiness out of the UI then I would think it was a good game.

Speaking of, United Kingdom is out.

You're killing me. I'm on the fence about picking up a DLC for the weekend or jumping into Space Tyrant. Thoughts?

Seriously, I'm gonna play both. If you HAVE to choose one, however? That's really tough because even though I've little time with Space Tyrant, I like it, but still...it's LOGistICAL...

This coming from the guy who will play anything with a spaceship in it, except No Man's Sky. LOGistICAL must be REALLY good.

The only reason I've yet to play NMS is because, after repeated attempts to get a press key failed, I refuse to pay anything more than $10 for it.

And yes, yes, LOGistICAL is really very very good.

As popular as the game was, it's been very quiet here for a while, and on Steam. Seems like I'm the only one here who hasn't moved on.

Just wanted to bump the thread and mention that there seems to be a rather significant update coming today. I'm not sure about all the turmoil sacada is creating/resolving just to keep the enormous number of achievements in the game, but he is definitely dedicated to continuing support and adding features.

I'm still loving the game. Hope to see some of you come back for some more trucking goodness.

I'm still dropping in occasionally. After mainlining it for 40+ hours, I just needed a little break. Of course, now that you bring it up, I might have to go play it tonight (after we finish moving into the new house, of course).

EDIT: Hey, my first double post!

I've not had the brainpower to play it of late. I still love the game, and still intend to play it a lot in the coming week, recently I've just been too tired/braindead to plan anything.

FYI, he did just post a pretty massive patch update thing:

Hmm. I feel like I read this somewhere...

Understandable. Isn't today the "big day"?

Well remembered, indeed it is! Once the weight of it is off my shoulders (it's gonna be awesome, I know, it's just been this all-consuming force over the last few months) I'll be able to give this the attention and love it deserves.

Lately, however, I've just wanted to have something that tells me where to go and what to do, so RPG's like Lord of the Rings Online and Path of Exile have been PERFECT for that.

Well, congratulations to you and your bride. Hope all goes well. And if it doesn't, no one will care!

We still laugh about how my wife's clumsy uncle knocked over the cake. Ah, memories.

Have a great day, and don't sweat the small stuff.

I'm still into it, but have been traveling, and now Path of Exile updated, and I'm back into Guild Wars 2. So it will wait its turn.

Congrats Veloxi!

Thank you!

I had a sense of closure after completing Hawaii, so I detoured through Saints Row 2 to scratch an itch. I did boot it up last night and checked off a few more achievements, but I am feeling a bit adrift after the more focused scenario in the DLC.

July just was my busy month, vacation, business travel, and weddings, and I had to finish some games.
I'm getting back into it.

I'm still moving ahead, a little bit at at time. Still just working on Australia. I just completed Perth to get x16 speed. There's still the capital of Hobart, but as far as I know, it doesn't increase speed further, just a cash boost. I'm up to 685 towns complete.

Finally found Diamonds and Aluminum. Interest in game rekindled!

Italy dropping tomorrow!

Also a new build with global contracts and more, along with a Discord channel!

Yay!

I guess Italy got moved to 8/22.

Regardless, I'm playing this again. Now that the wedding is over, I've the mental energy to enjoy this again, and enjoying it I am. I'm playing Hawaii, and I've decided that my current goal is to FIX ALL THE ROADS. Yes, all of them. Then I'll explore the sh*t out of all the islands and finally find those elusive industries I've been missing. Yay! Man I love this game.

This is a good general strategy for the game. I'm doing the same in California right now. Explored everywhere until I found gravel, stone, asphalt (limestone, sand), and steel. With those, you can fix just about all the roads (if you have the patience). Finally making progress, but boy are those resources spread out. I'm only at 8x speed so I still find myself doing a lot of waiting.

But yes, still really enjoying it.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna adapt this strategy from now on.

Yay, Italy is out!

I've also gotten all the roads fixed on two of the Hawaiian islands! Yay!

I just want to say thanks Veloxi for turning me onto this game. I'm nearing the end of Australia (950 towns complete), and although I can recognize it's not the right game for everyone, it works for me.

950 towns! Congrats, that's quite the feat! So glad you're enjoying it!
