Moebius: The Orb of Celestial Harmony.
Never played it myself, but I remember it from magazine ads.
Well, this thread has been humbling to say the least... Where do I hand in my Gamer Card?
That was it MisplacedBravo
I knew I had seen that game before. I played it on an Apple iie green screen, so the RGB colors threw me off. I remember most of the fights having swords though, not hand to hand combat.
I had a game in mind for the next round, but had foolishly forgotten that it put its name at the top of the screen.
I'll find another ASAP.
EDIT: Okay, try this -- no peeking at the URL, please!
Nueromancer.
Nueromancer.
That did not take long at all.
Your turn, Agent 86!

I was going to guess Dark Souls.
And that is Skitchin'!
Go Gravey! You're up.
Man, that took me back. All the way to yesterday, when I barely missed my bus and thought if I had a skateboard I could have skitched a ride on the back of it.
Only 90s kids still think about skitching.
Heh, I hadn't found the thread then—nice that I got a second chance at it. (Also, there's no way those are screenshots of UT2K4. That game was SUH-WEET, as we used to say back then, and those screenshots look like crap.)
Is that République?
Nope, but that's the right genre.
What genre? French?
What genre? French? :P
Yes!
That's not Remember Me, is it?

Yeah, I've been gaming since the TI/99 (well before that, even, in the arcade), and I've been stumped by most of these. The only recent one I recognized was No One Lives Forever. (a great, great game, at the time, but one that's not aging as well as one might hope.)
That super-white building makes me think of Mirror's Edge, but I'm not sure that game had any geometry that advanced in it.

I played either that or the sequel Windwalker, can't remember which. The combat was pretty good, but I didn't progress very far.

It is!
I meant it was the same genre as République as in cyberpunk, but French worked too.
Dang Neuromancer was the next game I was going to put up if I ever guessed correctly again!

So you're saying that République is basically the same as Remember Me, right? *ducks*
Next up:
I was thinking it was an original Gameboy game, til I saw the colors in the health/XP bar.
Yeah, the health/XP colors are throwing me off too. Also, those bushes are straight out of Link's Awakening/Seasons/Ages which is giving me a huge nostalgia bomb right now.
I believe that is Evoland?
No URL-cheating, please.
Edit: It is NOT Evoland.
Isn't that a Minecraft, uh, creeper or whatever they're called? Definitely not Minecraft though...
