Name that GAME Thread

Pardon the delay. I was asleep.

Also, Yie Ar Kung Fu was the very first video game I ever played. On my dad's old Yamaha computer, in the old country.

Jaws!

...I don't know. PC games are way outside my wheelhouse.

It was a Commodore64 game.

This thread is like the Dark Souls of guessing games.

So, is this thread basically Rebel Galaxy?

I know! I look at it everyday, and I am just like... what the heck is that?! If I ever get one though, I'll tell you my game would probably be some obscure super famicom title. Haha.

It's totally Arac, by Addictive Games!

Freeplay.

Hehe, it's Spiderbot. But fine, close enough!

It looks vaguely familiar. My exposure to C64 games was pretty scant, school library computers between lessons back in the 5th grade.

When I was a kid I received a birthday present from my parents. A well used C64 and two boxes full of 5.25" disks, filled with games. I made it my quest to go from one end of the boxes to the other. I think I got about 75% of the way in. So I had an opportunity to experience a large majority of the C64 library.

Freeplay?!? I'm not even gonna disguise the link on this one:

We had an Atari 800 at home. A lot of the same games, looking very similar across the 2 platforms.

The link doesn't give a clue though. DuckTales though, right?

But whiiiiiich one?!? It occurs to me after checking a YouTube video that I could have had a lot more fun with screenshots. Oh well. I was in a hurry to claim the freeplay since I haven't been able to guess any in awhile.

Well apparently there's something called DuckTales: Quest For Gold that I've never heard of!

That's it! I guess there's an Amiga version, but I grew up with the MS-DOS version. It was pretty fun, although I imagine it'd be hella frustrating now.

If anyone's bored, this is a playthrough of the game:

The screenshot I posted is the end where the gold you collected is weighed for the contest.

Karateka

Kara-te-ka

You got it Carlbear95. Just try not to get kicked in the nards at the very end.

I spent so much time playing Karateka I had everybody's moves memorized. Even that pesky bird.

That f'ing bird is the reason I never got anywhere with that game.

Rapid punch!

going with an easy one (I think)

Defenders of the Crown?

Close enough.. Its Defender of the Crown but I do remember seeing it on my friends Amiga and my jaw dropped at how awesome it looked.

I played it a lot on the NES. The tournaments were a weak point though IIRC. When I played as the guy super good at lancing or the guy super good at melee, I'd just conquer the whole map with tournaments.
