Portland, Oregon Meetups

Still on for tonight? 6 is better for me because Portland traffic is bad.

6 is good. Sabor Salvadoreno

If anybody wants to pick me up on the way my hotel is right by the exit off Hwy 26 at 185th. Just pm me today and we can exchange phone #.

If not I'll Uber over or something.

I'll plan on making it. I'll probably have to leave at 7, though, because I've got this boat project I have to work on tonight.

Dragon Boats?

I'm in. Bringing Hand of the King and For Sale which both play very quickly.
Stele, I am coming from the south so I could overshoot the restaurant and get you. But with traffic I won't be there until ~615 or so.

It's also within the 5 mile range of the hotel shuttle. So I could just head on over if no one else has that reserved. Just trying to cover options. I have tuffalo and DSGs numbers. So we'll coordinate something.

Lysias and skylar sounded in yesterday. Scaphism, tuffalo, DSG+wife, and me makes 7. Druidpeak sounded like a maybe. 8 would be a good number.

Whoever is first can get a couple tables.

I'm bailing. Working from home to get my project done, and will be remoting into class.

Whoa, 7.

This place is really small. There aren't couple tables. If we still want to eat there we may want to go there and then move to a nearby location for games. I wasn't sure if that was happening.

Lysias and I are still in.

Coming, not bringing any games though. I'm flexible on what we do when we get there (aside from eating, eating needs to be included).

Hotel party?

You guys will be right around the corner from Rainy Day Games. They have some space for boardgames, right?

Indeed we will be. And they might. I haven't been in a while.

That sounds like an excellent post meal plan. Closes at 9, when we all have to go download Mario Kart anyway.

Rainy Day Games is an excellent store! Have fun!

Well traffic seems bad. Might be 620 for me and tuffalo.

Really great to see you all! Sorry I had to leave so quickly and wish I could have stayed and relaxed with everyone. Just finished up the boat stuff. Time to enjoy that beer Stele gifted me and buy Mario Kart 8.

Great choice on the meetup restaurant, DS. That was some great food. Would have been worth driving out to Aloha just for that!

Indeed. That was some pretty great food. Glad we all had a chance to get together again. Hope you enjoyed your visit Stele. ^_^

Yeah, same here. I loved seeing everyone. I'm glad everyone enjoyed the restaurant. Hopefully we can do it again sometime soon.

I'm moving from Denver CO to Hillsboro OR (or Beaverton, there's some controversy about what town my new zip code actually is) in June. It'd be great to meet up with some folks sometime this summer and say hi.

Just keep us posted and best of luck with the move!

Indeed. If you need anything just say the word.

It's been a while since we've had a Portland meetup. Anyone interested in trying to get together sometime in the next month or two to play some board games?

I'd probably be able to make something if it's the first half of August.

I should be able to make it any Friday evening or Saturday this month.

I'll be pretty busy until August is over. My end of summer always books up like this though.

My first half of August is actually the most challenging.

How's September look?

September is much more open for me.

I'm going to be busy using up all my vacation time and weekends fishing end-of-August and September, so I probably wouldn't be able to make anything that month. October might work.
