Losers always blame the refs They also can't count.

That game was closer than I expected and Texas Tech beat West Virginia as well. The Big XII is going to be deep this season and that scares me. I'm expecting a .500 conference record for the Clones this year.

Kansas lost the big man they could least afford to lose this season in Udoka Azubuike. That kid is going to be a beast. They really need Landon Lucas to become a more consistent force inside. but the only two bigs Self really feels comfortable with are Lucas and Carlton Bragg, who is still trying to find his way.

But winning the Big 12 has rarely been easy, and this season is going to go down to the wire.

FSU!

Go Noles! Hopefully we can keep this up.

Louisville 106, Pittsburgh 51

Holy sh*t.

Pitt's 2nd biggest loss of all time, worst since 1906. Beats old record of biggest home loss at that gym by 25 or something. Lots and lots of stats.

That was fun.

10 in a row over Pitt now. 6-1 at their place all-time. I think they've only lost like 30 games there ever.

Wish we could have them as our home-and-home opponent every season instead of Virginia.

And #1 Villanova goes down again @Marquette. Hell of a night.

Kansas lost, UK losing... Gonzaga with a path to #1 if the win this weekend.

3 games in a row Louisville wins by 23+. Should be in the Top 5 next week for our trip to UVa. Seems like we play terrible against them but maybe we'll finally click.

Whew, I did not expect to snap a 12 year losing streak today. Especially after KU shot the lights out in the first half and ISU couldn't get a rebound.

Another gaggle of top 10 teams lost yesterday. And UK and Arizona in particular got blown out.

KU is just having a hell of a time overcoming the loss off their big men. In particular, Azubuike was looking like a superstar in the making. And Carlton Bragg is just an asshole and spends most of his time suspended or in Self's doghouse.

I really like Landon Lucas, but he is at his best as part of a rotation. He just isn't dominant enough to carryvto whole load.

So that means the guards have to carry the day. If they are ever off, they just don't have a back-up plan.

Gonna make this race for the Big 12 title interesting.

Current seeds revealed

Villanova, Kansas, Baylor and Gonzaga would be the four No. 1 seeds if the NCAA tournament began today.

With one month until Selection Sunday -- for the first time ever -- the NCAA tournament selection committee revealed the top 16 seeds in an early version of its bracket Saturday.

North Carolina, Florida State, Louisville and Oregon occupied the No. 2 line.

Kentucky, Arizona, Virginia and Florida were the No. 3s ...

UCLA, Duke, West Virginia and Butler earned No. 4 seeds.

Tonight:

Such great games tonight.

The buzzer beating dagger to net Syracuse a home win over Duke was amazing.

And then UNC overcomes poor shooting in the first half to grind out a ~15 pt win over a solid Louisville team that apparently decided not to make foul shots today.

God, I love this time of year.

And Oregon was down big to Cal but rallied over on ESPN2. Dillon Brooks with a game winner there too.

And Butler cruised at Villanova for the season sweep.

Too many games, not enough TVs.

Yeah.. awesome. Held Oregon to 16 points in the first HALF. Then they managed to score 19 in the last 4 minutes or so. Total collapse... glad to have been a part of it.

Notable events for 2/25:

BYU beats Gonzaga, no more undefeated teams in men's NCAA Div1 this season.

UNC smooshes Pitt to clinch the #1 seed in the ACC tourney and a share of the regular season title

Duke drops a second game to Miami (@Miami; which is getting a reputation as a UNC and Duke killing team)

Virginia destroys NCSU (surprising no one)

Florida State survives Clemson on the road

UCLA defeats Arizona in a mostly close game by playing some frustrating 2-3 zone throughout the 2nd half and completely confounding Arizona's backcourt.

What is going on in the Big XII? K State and TCU are shaking things up today.

After doing everything it could to play itself out of the tourney (and basically succeeding), Cal is doing everything it can to claw its way back in. I'm hopeful that if we can finish what we weren't able to do a few weeks ago, and beat Oregon in the semis of the Pac-12 tournament, we may have found our way back in.

4 ranked teams lost in conference tournaments yesterday, most in quarterfinals, and 3 of the 4 to unranked teams (Duke over Louisville the one ranked one). March Madness!

Round 3, UNC v Duke tonight.

These games give me an ulcer.

Ugh, and that's why.

It was like a replay of the Duke-Louisville game. Kennard can't hit anything early, other team has a big lead. A couple calls go Duke's way (Mitchell/Berry 4th foul), Kennard gets hot, and Duke erases a double digit deficit

They did it again last night, too.

And it wasn't just Kennard. Allen and Tatum were hitting from outside, and Jackson seems to be coming into his own as well.

Hat tip to the blue devils, they played a hell of a tournament. I do wish some of their fans were a bit less prone to gloating, but that seems unlikely to happen.

Yeah it's been educational living in NC for a couple years. Duke and Kentucky hate each other so much but their fans deserve each other.

Winning the Big XII tournament 3 out of the last 4 years feels good. It may not be the same as 13 regular season titles, but it's something Cyclone Nation may not see again. Now I hope we don't have another UAB moment next week.

Seems like the fan hate for rivalries is just one of those universal things.

It's bizarre, there's usually a lot of respect between coaches, players, etc.. But fans? Not a chance!

South #1 seed for the Tarheels. Not exactly sure how that fell out, but I'll take it.

Really loved Louisville's draw.

May eat those words later.

There are some intriguing matchup possibilities in there for sure. Should be a good tourney.

I counted 9 teams from the ACC... Sorry Syracuse! Did anyone come close to that count?

Yeah 9 ACC. 7 Big East, 7 Big Ten (which Mich St has no business being in).

They were remarkably unimpressive this year. I am not sure how they rate, really. And then you have Wichita State at a 10 seed. What.
