You should change your fantasy team's name to the Opting Out Kaeps.

I'm hoping he ends up on a team that plays at Wembley this year so I can be London Colin.

Might I suggest "#7adness"

Just for that, I'm going to be "The 71%".

I can't really improve on this Deadspin hed so here you go:

Something Very Weird Is Going On With The Skins

The TL,DR version is that the Washington GM won't be going to the NFL Combine this week for some shady reasons -- either he has been fired and/or he's an alcoholic. Wow.

That article doesn't even mention that he was fired from the 49ers GM job for the very same reason.

If I worked for Jed and then Dan, I'd drink too.

It's all over both local sports stations. The skins aren't talking which is allowing everyone else to try to fill the void. Between this and Kirk, they don't have to talk about anything else for months.

You know, if Washington was interested in dealing Cousins, this situation would go a long way to explaining why they didn't manage to make anything happen before the franchise tag deadline. Hard to get that kind of thing done when your GM is unable to function and has thrown your front office into disarray.

Maybe they'll still get something done with Cousins, whether it's a trade or an extension, but they're so turned upside down right now that they just have to use the tag to buy some time to get sorted out.

I'd be more inclined to go with that if we were talking about a second-string LB or something, but it's your starting QB who was already franchised the prior year. I mean, even Washington wouldn't be so dysfunctional for this to go for weeks, right?

I would almost feel bad for Alex Smith if Kaepernick took his job away twice. Almost.

That article doesn't even mention that he was fired from the 49ers GM job for the very same reason.

Also cost him a job in Seattle... I hope he gets clean, somehow.

Good point. Seattle was second chance. Washington hired him less than a year after the Seattle job ended.

The guy's only 46 years old. In NFL terms, he's young. Certainly too young to have burned through so many chances already.

John Lynch has told 49er fans to "stay awake" next week for the start of free agency, because "we need players".

My body is ready...

How's your 40 time? And can you do more than 10 reps on the bench?

My hands are great.

I bet your three cone drill has a great personality.

Brandon Marshall was released by the Jets, as expected. Hopefully he becomes a Raven since they need a new vet WR who catches everything thrown his way a la Steve Smith and Q, especially since Flacco apparently can't throw the ball deep anymore.

Bengals reportedly want a 2nd for A.J. McCarron. I'd be shocked if that didn't really mean "we'll take a 3rd for him" or "that's more than we'd get for Dalton".

Lot of rumors CLE is going to take Trubitsky #1 overall. We wouldn't be that stupid, would we? This is the Browns trying to drum up interest for a trade, right? RIGHT?

FML

The only hope for Cleveland now is for the owner to be offered an ambassadorship somewhere.

Well, he did commit enough crimes to be offered one.

If Mary Kay Cabot is breaking that info, well, it's probably a way to drum up interest. I don't think anyone believe any of these QBs are worth the 1st overall pick.

Also, I don't hear anything about Kizer in the mix from the Browns, so they're probably planning on drafting him with their other 1st round pick.

My condolences. I saw several of his games on TV last season (I live an hour from campus so UNC games are always on), and I came away underwhelmed. He'll make a few good plays, then he'll have one really bad play. I think he makes poor decisions too often, and he seems really bad under pressure. I wanted him to be better, but he just wasn't most games.

I think Trubisky will be one of those guys who can start but will wind up as a career backup somewhere, assuming a few years in Cleveland don't crush his soul.

Trubinsky seems like the kind of kid who needs a few years of watching from the sidelines and solid coaching in order to slowly develop into an NFL QB and isn't ready at all to start. So, you know, Cleveland will take him and start him from day one.

Because the Eagles are that pathetic an organization our "GM" gets this excited about winning a coin flip and drafting at 14 instead of 15. Somebody tell Howie about his track record with first round picks.

Washington and San Francisco are talking Kirk Cousins.

But the interesting part is that apparently a 3 way trade with Dallas that moves Romo to Washington is being discussed.

That's a dumb trade that only Washington could pull off!!!

Not a single comment from the combine weekend?

Yeah, I don't care either.

Meh, other than needing some Aggie fan to talk me into Garrett or some Tarheel fan to talk me into Trubitsky, I don't really care about the underwear olympics.

No one there resembled a Goodjer and no one had their penis fly out this year, so no.

Leonard Fournette is really fast for his size.

Christian McCaffery is going to be great if he gets put in an environment where he can be a 12-15 touches per game guy and not the focus of an offense.

Ruben Foster is a moron who just cost himself several million dollars.

I have commented on the combine, and now I feel my offseason work is complete.

Top 10 pick who will now fall. Hmmm, sounds like a steal for some team.
