Happy Hump Day Survey!

I'm probably answering for many of us when I link this one.

Yep. That one definitely wins this week.

haha! Can we all ditch work and spend this Wednesday contributing to the thread in his honor?

I have a hard time thinking of individual posts that I loved, but I can think of posters whose contributions I regularly enjoy. I still love ccesarano's review of Kid Icarus: Uprising and his loopdeeloop deep dives into ideas. I love when TheHarpoMarxist writes about art, but especially movies, because he has such a neat perspective. Demyx has taught me a lot about Disney, an animation studio that I have loved since childhood but didn't know how much I didn't know about them. Mantid writes about all the JRPGs I want to play but don't have time for. KaterinLHC isn't around much, but her posts about Dragon Age (and especially Dragon Age 2) always gave me something to think about and a fresh perspective on the series. shoptroll and TheGameguru have insightful and interesting things to say about the business side of gaming. Gremlin does a spectacular job of writing thoughtful, interesting, and well-sourced posts in D&D. There are many, many more GWJers whose work I love. These are just some of the ones who tend to write walls of text that I'm happy to read.

Pretty much any given post by Hypatian

Yeesh, how could I forget Hypatian? Great posts out of that lady.

I love when threads go off topic because goodjers are being silly with wordplay, puns, or bad jokes.

They're hard to remember, but here's one that made me lose my sh*t laughing my ass off that I haven't forgotten:

Once when a Coffer Grinder named Enrico Pallazzo posted in a thread, someone (I think it might've been Tanglebones) posted this:

It STILL make me laugh!

Yup, that was me

Tanglebones is a master of unexpected and hilarious puns.

Answers so far are all accurate. I also love whenever pyxistix posts art in the Things You've Made thread: https://www.gamerswithjobs.com/node/... That's actually one of my favorite threads to see pictures in from anyone, but pyxi is particularly prolific there.

Garion333, Tanglebones, and all the other kings of the Name That Movie thread. You never let it stay dead for long.

JCVD!

I'm constantly amazed by everyone in the Depression thread, from people who are just sharing their story to the people helping lift others up. m0nk3yboy's posts there in particular have had an immeasurably positive impact on me, even when I've just been in full on lurk mode.

The post responding to my deal post about Darksiders in the Video Game Deals post, thus beginning the "Is it any good?" meme.

At the risk of recency bias, Tscotts post on page seven of the rank anything thread is awesome.

Not going to copy it all here.

Mine is a whole thread, and that thread is Fleabagmatt's locked Locked Threads thread.

It's mentioned every once in a while along with this one, which was related but on a different topic entirely. Each time someone asks about a favorite post or threads, I think of the original.

Of course, there's also this.

HAPPY HUMP DAYYYYYY (holy hell it's only Wednesday)!!!!

I would climb Mt. Everest!

I would buy lottery tickets.

It's pretty hard to fail when trying to buy lottery tickets. IMAGE(http://cool-smileys.com/images/skype-emoticon0110-tongueout.png)

I would buy a winning lottery ticket.

Make a video game.

Convince the world to recognize/respect the value of (and admitting) "I don't know".

Impeachment

Going into Space

Create safe and inexpensive replicator & transporter technologies.

Create safe, cheap, clean energy.

But on a more selfish note I'd really like to create a game that is widely loved.

As someone whose fear of failure drives massive anxiety can I say everything?

More specifically, writing and recording music to put out there. I get so massively nervous when I perform solo that it wrecks the quality of my singing/playing. I'd love to just be able to jump into that without fear.

Right? My life is defined by a crippling fear of not succeeding.

Honestly... open up my deeper self to those around me.

But on a more realistic front: write and publish a book

Ummm... wish for three more wishes?
