Actually the video says they're pushing the release of the ninja due to balance issues. So sometime in June probably.

Dirty skimper here hadn't looked yet, was too busy annoying the guild by getting the second set of unwanted livertos.

I'm still playing the game everyday. About a week ago I had a friend join and I rolled a new Ranger with his Berserker. I liked the Ranger a lot and I've actually made it my main and let my Valkyrie just processing stuff in Calpheon.

At least for PVE grinding, the Ranger is a beast. So much easier and faster to farm stuff compared to my Valkyrie. Good thing that all the hard work I put on the gear I was using on my Valk I was able to instantly pass to my Ranger with the exception of the weapons, but I was lucky enough to get a Liverto Longbow.

I spend most of my time now leveling in Sausans groups or solo and also trying to farm gear in other places. I've done some Guild vs Guild pvp, but there's not much point to that at the moment. They need to release Sieges and Node wars fast, there are a lot of people that are gearing up just for that, but that's been delayed and no word really on when that's coming out.

Wow, I'm SOOOO late to this thread! Been playing since preorder myself but never run into any of us. Do we have an official guild in game? (mind you i have a lot of tread to read back on so bare with my laziness )

Nothing official, but a chunk of us that still play are in the Haven guild on the Orwen server.

Information on who to contact is in the first post.

Started my blader yesterday and I am enjoying him a lot more than my warrior. I'll still keep him around to pretty much be my worker manager. Is it weird that I still have no idea what I am doing but I am still having fun in this game?

Nope, part of what I'm loving, no prescribed path, no set thing you must do. Reminds me of the original EQ in that each day I log in and decide what I want to do that day. Huge world, so much variety, so much to do above and beyond just fighting.

I finally broke down and started playing this yesterday. I've already had to watch youtube videos on connecting nodes, managing workers, etc. It's been a while since I've had to watch outside videos just to figure out things that are pretty integral to the game. Now to just figure out what I want to focus on.

Welcome to the party Kehama I was in the same boat as you I have had this game for about 3 months and I just got my first worker going. A good source of income is fishing especially since you can do it afk. Another tip I got from a video I watched is to have multiple characters so I have one character who I use for going out into the field adventuring and finding nodes and my second character stays home to fish recruit workers and other things.

Handy calculators!

Greetings Adventurers,

We know many of you have been eagerly waiting, the time has come for the veil to drop and from the shadows emerges the highly anticipated Ninja and Kunoichi classes! You can finally satisfy that urge to rapidly dash through the battlefield, dispatching enemies with deadly precise strikes, before vanishing into thin air leaving your opponents in a confused daze.

You will be able to begin slicing your way to the top on July 20th 2016 after the conclusion of the server maintenance. Included below for those of you who may have just recently joined us or need a quick refresher is a brief description of each classes play style.

Ninja

The Ninja is an agile close-quarters combatant. With dashes, aerial skills, and even teleportation, Ninjas can get up close to their opponents alarmingly fast. Designed to land precise, deadly strikes, both the Ninja and Kunoichi can conceal themselves until the time is right. When in a tight spot, Ninjas can also make use of stun and debuff techniques to regain the upper hand.

Kunoichi

The Kunoichi fights in much the same style as the Ninja but specializes in deflecting attacks with her trusty Kunai. A defensive force to be reckoned with, the Kunoichi uses her sharp senses to execute perfectly timed blocks before landing devastating counterattacks.

We’re looking forward to seeing the many unique character designs and interesting strategies players employ with the introduction of these new classes. Be sure to stop by the class forums to partake in discussions with fellow players on which one you intend to play.

-- Update July 13th --

We're happy to report that after speaking with Pearl Abyss we have confirmed that players will indeed be receiving an additional single character slot on the release day of the Ninja & Kunoichi. Players that have already achieved maximum character slots via the pearl shop items will have their maximum slots increased by 1 to ensure they are able to receive the full benefit as well.

I'm still playing BDO like crazy. Node/Siege wars have been a lot of fun so far. A lot of drama between guilds, but that's what I like about these sort of games!

I got bit hard by the Overwatch bug, but i'll be checking out the Ninja tomorrow.

Isn't someone on EU server? I got all my chars over there, either on Crox or Jordine. I wanted to socialize more. I play it alobe on my pace, not really grinding, just doing quests and learning the ropes along the way. My highest level is 20 with tamer. But I find myself more figuring out how to do different stuff than beating monsters, even if that's fun too. So I have few workers getting me potatoes and ask and am connecting nodes to be able to trade a little without the 30% loss. But I am not sure if it sticks with me. Maybe after some noodling I will go try something else, like growing cherry blossoms.

How is the state of this game today.

Sadly went the P2W route. This was after they promised they wouldn't for the NA release. Node wars are still fun.

Is it worth as something to pickup as something to mindlessly (or Zen like if you will) grind in PvE on occasion.

In that case i highly recommend it. This still has the most satisfying and beautiful combat i've seen in a MMO. I absolutely hate grinding, but this game makes it fun.

Yeah I will say this as someone who does not like mmos. I really liked this one. If the grind didn't get so intense in the later levels I probable would have gotten it. I was just getting annoyed when I had to commit genocide on an area to get close to leveling.

Also loved the fishing, and crafting stuff.

Well this just showed up on my video feed and this guy sounds like he was where i was and makes a good case to go back. If i wasn't already deluged with new games i probably jump back in.

WHY DID YOU DO THAT?! I had some fun in BDO but the pain points he listed (energy, marketplace) were all a huge downfall. It sounds like they fixed a lot of the issues in the game. He definitely makes a convincing argument to go back and give it another try.

I really did not like the combat controls in the game. Just could not get past it.

Oh main that video is dangerous. Also the price is now 10$. I'll sleep on it.

Edit: And I'm weak. What server does everyone play on?

They consolidated servers so there's just the one but a ton of instances.

Was living on Balenos 1 instance, but you can move around them relatively easy.

I was re-installing last night but then recalled how I was so overloaded with what there was to do and how much there is to remember. The learning curve is a bit steep (unless they changed that as well). Maybe I'm happier with my simple "Just trying to get Junkrat before anyone else does" life

So I made a blader called Argov. Leveling has been stupid fast since techinically I had a character before. So I wound up having tons rewards waiting for me. I'm almost at the same point I was before I stopped playing. I'm glad that even though I deleted my original character I still kept a lot of stuff. Including my trade route which was nice. Trying to power level until I hit the new stuff.

Well I've hit a bit of a wall. Seems like post level 50+ the leveling just slows to a crawl. Even with something like 150+ xp boosts on enemies my level or above just give slivers of xp. Also probable overdid it with my play. Played for the entire weekend basically. Been having a good time.

Other thoughts. Node system is cool but doesn't seem to work the way I'd expect it. It's really tricky to setup an even basic system to make decent money.

Exploration. Love this. This game makes me run around and go everywhere and talk to everyone. I feel rewarded for it and I enjoy it.

Combat. Damn good, atlthough the blader seems a bit dull. 90% percent of it is spamming my aoe attack. Though that's more the grinding probable.

Crafting/Life skills. Cool and interesting even though 99% of the time you do these afk.

Otherwise good fun even with the slow down. Trying to level my fishing now.
