It seriously would not take a lot.

Step 1: wash with mild soapy water and wipe with alcohol to remove any protectant/lubricant
Step 2: cover lenses and accent pieces with blue painter's tape
Step 3: Hit with 2 coats of white spray primer in broad strokes to avoid streaking and allow to dry overnight.
Step 4: Using a #4h or harder pencil and flexible straight edge, map out your pattern.
Step 5: Beginning with lightest colors first, blend tan to brown on the front. Allow to dry overnight.
Step 6: Map out black striped areas using blue painter's tape and crafting knife.
Step 7: Apply black accents using either hand brush or sponge technique. Reapply after drying for second coat. Allow overnight drying.
Step 8: Remove painter's tape from all but lenses and hand brush black blending using drybrush technique to appear "dirty". Allow overnight drying.
Step 9: Clearcoat, dry, and clearcoat again.
Step 10: remove painter's tape from lenses.

A child could do this.

Er this is not D&D bud you could always keep it a bit more friendly geeze.

Sorry about the tone. But seriously, if you want help doing this yourself, I have all the stuff you'll need. Just let me know after the first of the year and I'll work it with you.

It's good to have these skills anyway.

Just found this thread and wanted to say "Hi" from Greensboro.

Did anyone go to Playthrough Gaming Convention 2016 mentioned earlier in this thread? I'm curious about it and wondering about 2017's;

I went - it was a decent first effort, this is coming from someone who has never been to PAX and the like. The tabletop and arcade areas were full of people playing. Epic was there, but their booth had no one in it - it was just a couple of tvs looping trailers for Paragon.

So, I’ve got a pre-order Swtich and I’m legitimately offering to host a GWJ Switch Launch party in Greensboro, NC. The festivities will begin Sunday, March 5th are around 1:00 PM at my house in Greensboro, NC. I’ve got a fairly large back yard, we’ve got a decent chance of good weather.

We’ll be taking turns playing my Switch of course, but when the Switch is occupied maybe we can play some old-school rounds of GoldenEye or Smash Bros or I've got a large board game collection too.

Or you know talk to each other. We can do that too.

Weather permitting we could also do some Frisbee golf in the back yard if anyone wants it.

What I’d like people to bring: Anyone who is also pre-ordering a Switch, we’d love to have more than one! Or any other fun new toy you are looking to share.

Also, if people feel like it they can bring some artistinal pizza and/or craft beer. I’ll be making some sous-vide chicken, and if you haven’t had sous-vide chicken before you’ll be amazed at it. A guy in another thread made a joke about the Switch commercial looking like everyone there would only eat artisinal pizza, craft beer, and sous vide chicken at their parties so I am literalizing the joke! For real, that sounds like an awesome menu so let’s make it happen.

This will be a family event (I have a 4 and a 6 year old) so kids welcome .

If you think you can come please respond to this post and I’ll message you with details and what not.

Cheers,
JR Ralls

Oh, I probably should have mentioned that I've pre-Ordered Zelda Breath of the Wild and 1-2 Switch. So if anyone else can bring any different games, super cool.

Alas, that's right in the middle of the one time this winter/spring that I'll be out of town. But it looks like fun. I hope everyone has a good time!

I will be on the high seas with JoCo Cruise but that sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for the goodjery invite!

I should be there. Need to check with the wife for sure but I usually am free on the weekend.

Sounds like fun, I'll try to make it!

Thought it might be good to have a thread for meet-ups in North Carolina rather than this thread as the title is a little confusing for that purpose, so I've created a North Carolinian meet up thread here;
