A question for the Meundies aficionados: do the briefs remain comfortable after a few washing cycles? I have bought briefs from different brands that were really comfortable at first, but started to creep up towards the groin after a few wears.

Yeah, they do. My oldest pairs are just about wearing out now (at 2 years old), and they're still super-comfortable.

Thanks! Enabled is me.

I like comfy underwear, but man, I can't wrap my head around paying $20 a pair.

I have bone spurs in my feet, and extremely high arches, which means that dress shoes can be incredibly painful. Just stuff a few large screw nuts into your shoes under your heel and ball of the foot to see what it's like...To complicate that, the balls of my feet are wider than they should be given the length and heel width (I have Native American ancestors and that is apparently a thing.) I have tried many different brands and styles. But the ultimate shoes I've found (that are not actually custom-made, can't afford that) are Clarks Unstructured series. Good arch support, wide comfortable toe box, excellent ventilation (including in-sole holes, which add to the cushioning as well) and of course they thick, textured leather and are quite dressy enough to wear with a suit. I can wear them all day without being crippled the next day. Those guys do shoes right.

That's why you go in on the Underpants Of The Month club. Cuts the price to $16/pair, and you get mystery skivvies that turn up in the mail!

I've heard a lot of people go on about places like that and Mack Weldon, but I can't seem to find an equivalent for here in the UK, and it's a bit much paying customs to import pants!

Yaktrax's Diamond Grips!

Beat them to hell over four or five years on the icy, rocky bluffs on the North Shore of Lake Superior from October to May.

Just got a new head lamp so I am excited to try the pair out tomorrow.

I can't really justify $16 a pair either. Let's face it, I'm more of a 4 for $10 kind of guy.

I am that guy too! I picked up a 4 pack of Gildan just a few days ago, but I will shell out for some higher quality stuff next year.

I cannot complain too much, as my gf pays out some decent bucks for her undergarments and I can't be looking disheveled while she looks great!

I have had my Timbuk2 laptop messenger bag for 6 years now and it still holds up like a champ.

I travel by air about three times a month and the TSA friendly butterfly enclosure for my laptop saves me from opening and closing my bag and saves me precious seconds in the precheck line. It is hard to overstuff given how much room there is and the fact that I can just buckle the lid to keep stuff in with my jacket. Getting through the airport line is just a function of tossing my wallet and phone in my jacket pockets, folding the jacket and tucking it under the straps, zipping open the butterfly and dropping the whole mess on the belt. It is all of 10 seconds tops and is all in one bag to grab at the end of it. No bins, no fishing around for stuff, no pulling crap out.

It fits perfectly under a SW Airlines seat or overhead. The item pockets in the front provide a perfect place to leave my parking pass and car keys so I will have them ready when I land. The strap is nicely upholstered so it doesn't kink or dig into my shoulders.

Can't say enough good stuff about this.

Yeah, I was too.

I'm in no denial. These are not cheap underpants.

But I'm a desk jockey. I'm sitting in these underoos all day, and the difference in my day-to-day comfort when I switched from the cheap undies to these was immense. To me, that difference is worth the cost, but then again, I'm middle-aged, financially stable and well paid, so the cost isn't that much of a big issue for me.

Ooh, bags! I love my Goruck GR1. It's a pretty simple, but solid as hell, ruck. It's got a nice pocket on the back for a laptop, which I use daily to and from work. It's also built to be able to haul a ton of weight, and stays comfortable. Basically, you could jam it full of rocks, and you'd be fine. It's also basically bottomless. It's pretty expensive, relatively, but given the amount of use I've gotten out of it over the last few years, and that this thing'll probably be good for another 20 years, I'm okay with it.

I'll also endorse Timbuk 2 bags. For years, that was my "commute on the subway" bag, then my "commute on a bike" bag, then turned into my wife's work bag. We both liked it well enough that we wound up getting a Timbuk 2 diaper bag.

Maybe I'll suggest them to my family. They've always wanted to give me underpants for Christmas.

I'll say my humidifier which has ended morning soar throats when the heat is on during the winter. Also my fender strat which I've played just about every day for 25 years.
