Titanfall 2 Catch-All

Had a pretty good game tonight. IMAGE(http://i.imgur.com/Oe5o4Rpl.jpg)

Probably a dumb question, but does the campaign have any kind of co-op, or is it all single player?

All single-player. I imagine the presence of the Titan interfered with the ability to make it co-op, and the story kind of hinges on you being the only person around. You could always have just one person as the pilot and the other always out of the Mech, though, I suppose. Maybe in Titanfall 3.

Played several hours of the campaign tonight and I must say, this is more than what I had hoped for from Respawn after the devs were given freedom from Call of Duty's campaign. There's some real creativity in here.

Loving SP so far. Can't play MP til maybe Sunday night

I'll see about joining the PS4 group.

single player, no co-op

Xbox One Network created yet?

Joined Bagel Mages' network on PS4. A bit confusing since they also listed Certis' PC network which has more peeps in it. There's no cross play supported to my knowledge so found it rather odd.

Only an hour or so into SP. It's doing all the right things so far but I'm itching to try the MP. Only got as far as customizing my pilot and mech before getting called up for Destiny raiding help. Shooter Lyfe

I could resist no longer!

I've still been playing Titanfall 1 regularly (just random pick-up games) but all the positive hype both from (most) reviews and more particularly from here (along with lots of "support" from my son) have pushed me over the edge - just got it on PC.

Downloading now. I'm "Toast_Burnt" in Origin so will give the single-player some time and then request an invite to the PC group Demiurge set up.

Joy! Glee!

Did some digging -- the "other" GWJ on PS4 is the network I set up during the Tech Test. Trying to see if I can kill that so we can all be Bagel's buddies.

Finished the campaign. That was awesome.

I don't have Titanfall 2 but played the first one and have Gears of War 4 on PC. Should be a default these days for cross game playing (PC, XBOX, PS4 etc). Easier said than done but a much larger player base and longetivity.

Anyone know how to remove the film grain in the PC version? First thing I noticed when I played.

This game is sooooooo good. It's making me sad that every time I open Origin my friends list is all on Battlefield 1. This game is so much more fun to me.

I cant ever get into the matches i want. I'm probably done until they fix it or organized play time with others.

The MP is fun But quite chaotic. I had s lot more success taking down Titans on foot versus being in one myself. The LMG seem to strike a good balance of power, range and recoil... Unless you snap on a scope, then it feels nigh unusable.

It's too dangerous to spend extended periods outside as a pilot. Thinking a shotgun build where your constantly working the cramped interiors could be the way to go.

I noticed that immediately as well, since that is one of the effects I usually turn off and their implementation is quite distracting. Unfortunately I did not find a way to remove it, it's definitely not in the options menu, I also didn't spot anything that would easily disable it while having a quick look through the game files. Hopefully they'll either patch that option in or someone more savvy will find a solution.

I'm gonna be honest, I was hoping the Pilot Helmet collectibles would allow for world-building logs and data that you could peruse at your leisure, but no such thing seems to exist. It's probably my only real complaint. I like grabbing the helmets because they encourage me to view the environment in a different fashion, but there is no benefit to finding them aside from collecting a random thing.

Anything else negative would be minor gripes, as otherwise the campaign is more than I was expecting. It seems like they have a semi-Nintendo outlook on design, where they come up with interesting concepts or tools, build a level around that, and then toss it away only to bring something else in. The game has been quite memorable that way.

I'm getting ready for the final push through the campaign already. I'd estimate I've spent about five to six hours in it so far, and wouldn't be surprised if I have around two more to go. Very curious to see what the response will be in the media to Infinite Warfare's campaign. I haven't played a CoD since Modern Warfare 2 (and an incomplete Black Ops), so I don't know how much the campaigns have really changed or evolved over time, but Titanfall 2 feels like a real evolution of the first-person shooter campaign. At least, for someone that likes how they have revised the first-person platforming wheel to be combat effective.

Really, really having a good time.

Picked it up this afternoon, haven't tried the MP yet but the SP is pretty amazing so far

Spoiler:

Just finished the time travel section and it was a lot of fun. especially when it got to parts where you have to switch mid jump back-to-back. it was challenging but in a way that was exhilarating.

also, the last sequence of that chapter was an unexpected delight.

How do I shake pilots off my Titan? Can I only rodeo another Titan if I use the grapple hook?

No you just have to jump on the enemy titan and you shouod just jump on. And the electric smoke or a friendly are usually the best way to get some one off. Or a fire shield.

Been playing the MP but just Attrition. I guess I'm an old school Titanfall player. Any other modes that are more fun?

Been running Stim and CAR. Try to run in there quick and shoot the other pilot as fast as possible.

I've only been able to play Attrition, Bounty Hunt, and once was able to play Amped Hardpoints. None of the other modes load up.

I haven't tried it in 2 yet, but in the original you could trick pilots into jumping off by standing still and looking down at the ground. From the hitchhiker's POV it mimics the animation of disembarking your titan to fight them in person and they would jump off to avoid being an easy target.

I'M IN. Please be my friend and play with me so I don't have to play with strangers. I am amoebism on Origin.

Decided to focus on wrapping up the story campaign. I'm stuck at the second boss Ash and totally forgot how to switch loadouts. Was about to ask when It finally came to me. It's right in the dpad, sheesh.

That missile launcher class seems completely useless for this fight so maybe scorch or tone will have more oompf.

I'll always be your Titan buddy, Meebs.

How would you cool peoples feel about an organized night? Like maybe Tuesday evening or so on PC?

Also I made some people in #GWJ (PC) mods. I don't know why, but it felt like fun.

Will definitely add you! It is a ton of fun. Its going to take some time to get used to. This is alot faster than the normal fps. Speed is the focus.

Odd. I feel like I had to switch to that loadout in order to beat her. She focuses so much on melee that it's an essential damage dealer, whereas so many other Titans just dodge it.

I have a feeling on harder difficulties there are ideal loadouts to use against specific Titans. Or in multiplayer.

I wish the Frontier Defence co-op 'horde mode' missions were in TF2. I came late to the original Titanfall and couldn't imagine playing it without that none adversarial mode to retreat to when PvP was getting too stressful. It feels like a mistake not to have it in the game from the start this time (I'm working from the fact that I haven't found Frontier Defence or co-op mentioned anywhere in relation to TF2. It'd make my day if someone said I was wrong and it is there.) Hopefully it'll be the first DLC out of the gate and you can level via that mode as before.

Maybe I was just doing it wrong. Certainly felt like she was either dodging many of the missiles (even with lock-on!) or she'd constantly be bringing up shields to block standard attacks. I think reviews overstated the normal difficulty of the campaign. While it's not punishing in the least I'm definitely dying my fair share on certain parkour sequences and boss/set piece battles.

Wait, I didn't read reviews of this game. How difficult was the regular difficulty listed as being? I have no interest in trying a higher difficulty because I know it'll become a meat grinder, but the majority of my deaths were missteps and some tough mech fights near the end rather than anything else.

Were reviewers forgetting to cloak? To run and leap about?
