Officially pre-ordered. GMG sent me a further discount code, so I used that and it brought it down to $45. I can't say no to that. I was going to pre-order anyway, but GMG just made it that little bit easier to do.
Still trying to hold out here mainly because November will be super busy....
This is where I'm at. I'm super in to Overwatch at the moment and I can only handle one long play game at a time. Plus, it's my birthday in Novemeber and my brother is getting me Total Warhammer plus all the expansions. I'm just not going to have the time so a pre-order makes no sense for me. Super excited about the game, need to avoid the hype from here on out I think.
I think I might get back in the Civ saddle for this one, after not quite connecting with V the way I had in the past!

I missed the price reduction for Civ VI itself, but GMG was offering a coupon code redeemable towards a handful of other games. Pulled the trigger -- full price on Civ but I have Dishonored II secured for 37.43 USD according to the e-mail receipt (it was already on price reduction and the code stacked). I consider that a worthwhile deal.

Not seems to be... Is!
Yay! Pre-load! Excitement commencing!
Just received my pre-order key from Green Man Gaming and i get the following when attempting to activate it on Steam:
"Sorry but the following items are not available for purchase in this country"
I hope this is just a bug and I don't have to go through support..
OK, just submitted a ticket.
For anyone who's already decided to get the game but hasn't bought it yet, you can get a Steam key for 20% off ($48) using the code 20offciv6 at WinGameStore.

Do you know if they already have the keys ready to send out?
Also, they don't say if it is the Global or European Union locked version.

Yep. I bought it this morning, and they emailed my key 3 hours later.

It's definitely not EU, as I'm in the US and my key worked.

Thanks for the confirmation Meatman. I saw that coupon and sent them an email asking and I hadn't heard back yet. With your info I went and ordered it and am preloading now! Thanks
Ugh. Bought my copy from Amazon and it looks like they arent making the code available to preload.
DL is only 7 GB.
Shouldn't take too long to download.
Huh. Only 3.9 here. But...as you say.....
Well did you DL the bonus Aztec Civilization DLC? :p
Ah, I stand corrected.
Looks like my DL speed was 7.0 MB/s Peak, 3.9 GB Total.
I misread.

No worries. I just figured I would have to get the rest on launch day. I'm used to that kind of crap. The number seems kind of low, even for a Civ game. Getting used to these horrible 80GB wastes of space, I guess.
On the Steam pop up that confirms the download, it says it'll need around 7700MB of space, but the actual preload is only 3.9GB, currently.
Meanwhile.
I go into my 3 day off work cycle (12 hours, 7 days in 14 on an odd alternating schedule) on Friday. Ain't that spiffy?
With sincere apologies to Mr. Petty...
And I'm, preee load'n
Yeah I'm, preee load'n

Do we know what time on Thursday it will be playable?

Funny, when I saw "Mr. Petty" I thought you meant this:
4GB... that's a little small isn't it? How big was Civ V?
