Seems a reasonable idea; your average kicker could probably cover receivers better than the current Panthers secondary.

Kickers come from the draft, not free agency. Duh.

Now I'm wondering if the Bucs should let Aguayo play safety and give Chris Conte a shot at kicking.

I can't see either position faring worse with that swap.

Aguayo plays safety, Conte gets pom-poms, a cheerleader gets a shot at kicking.

That was an impressive shouting match between Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman.

They're already practicing.

This "Dallas might be good" thing is really starting to annoy me.

#NeverRomo

This 'Boys fan is quietly enjoying the season so far, but anxiously awaiting the day when Jerry Jones steps in and f*cks this up.

Regarding the QB "controversy", to me it's simple... Dak is the QB. You can't mess up the momentum. And I am the rare fan who likes Romo.

This is the most obvious path for Jones to screw everything up.

Its hella depressing. But there's still time for Jerry to be Jerry.

Per ESPN, This was the 93rd consecutive game under Carroll in which the Seahawks either led or were within one score in the fourth quarter.

Back to 2011 when Pitt shut them out?

Get out of here w/that pre-2012 stuff.

Collinsworth bragging about Luck a minute ago and how no one could complain about his salary. But I swear I've heard some rumblings with the 2-3 start.

And now that rollout pass on 2nd down for a loss...

Houston with a chance to tie.

Damn... 2-2 so far. At least we weren't calling the Steelers-Dolphins game. Wowza...

I don't get the punting for OT.

4th and 8, 23 sec. You throw something. As long as you don't get sacked, Houston is down to 15 sec or less, and they don't have a timeout either.

If you do make the 1st, you spike, kick, and win.

Now it's back in the hands of a coin toss.

Huh. Oz decides to play like an NFL QB in the 4th quarter and OT. Where was that guy the rest of the game? Started getting the ball to Hopkins and actually spreading it around a little. Lamar Miller carries the offense on his back until Oz wakes up. Miller was a huge pickup this off season. Having a RB that doesn't explode into fragments when someone touches him is a great improvement. Defense kept the game close enough to win, but the offense needs to extend drives and keep them off the field more. Denver is going to slap the Texans around if they can't get it together offensively.

Edit to fix some phone typing mistakes.

He continues to look like he's overthinking things. Perhaps crunch time made him stop thinking and got him to start playing like a professional.

Sorry, Enix, gonna be a long season.

Thanks goodness! I've got 11 more regular-season weeks to find a bandwagon to climb onto.

As for the Panthers, I found a never-before-seen picture from last week's practice:

There's not a lot of room, but I am sure you can squeeze on to the Cowboys bandwagon...

Spoiler:

On second thought, we don't need more bandwagon fans, since that is the one thing the team has led the league in throughout it's existence.

I would suggest there's no need to bandwagon; it's just easier to get used to consistent failure.

I may have have used the #NeverRomo hashtag, but I like Romo a lot. He gets so much undeserved hate.

But like you, I think Prescott is the right guy going forward. It really sets them up well, because if Prescott goes down, not many teams can roll in a as good of a back-up as Romo.

Cleveland could use a starting QB.

We have a lot of Cowboys fans 'round these parts because this used to be Washington territory. I'll allow the construction of that particular bandwagon. Thanks but, no, I don't want to be part of it.

No, I'll take my ratty, oily blanket and clean out a place behind the furnace in the NFC South cellar. It's quiet down here. Just me and the jumpy crickets and a couple of old Saints jerseys.

Cleveland could use a starting QB.

This had me go look at Tony Romo's contract numbers.

Starting this offseason, moving Romo off the roster is a possibility. It would involve a large amount of dead money ($19 mil) but would generate $5 mil of cap space. The dead money is something they could afford since they would be paying their starting QB $635,000. (If they were in a position where they'd have to spend money to get a starter from free agency, then there'd be no way they could make the move).

Dallas has only $3 mil of cap space in the 2017 league year as of right now, so getting $5 mil of space is appealing (though a chunk of that would presumably go to a new veteran backup).

This offseason could be the end of an era, because looking at these contracts, Jason Witten's deal stands out as a big potential source of cap relief. Releasing him would free up $7.4 mil of cap space.

Fitzpatrick looks like the crazy mountain man that's #3 on the FBI's most wanted list.

Jets tire of Fitzpatrick, put in Geno, Geno throws interception.

Where has Gumbie been? I don't think I've seen him post to an NFL thread in a month.
