NFL 2016: Week 4

Cody Kessler throws a 13 yard out route for a first down, and RedZone makes it a highlight they cut to. Gotta get the Browns some screen time somehow, I guess.

Alright that TD throw by Kessler was pretty good.

Holy crap, a Bears RB that doesn't crumble after getting touched.

SEA leads at the half of a 10a PDT start time game?!?

Patriots still being shut out.

Bellichick doesn't like his tablet.

So much sports. 3 screens going...

I've been really impressed with Jordan Howard. It's not a great line and giant holes. He's breaking tackles and running patiently.

I'm trying to figure out what jersey to get. If he keeps this up, it would be an easy choice.(Urlacher and Forte are gone and I feel weird sporting my Cutler jersey)

Well, it must be terrible officiating then. For Oakland, too.

Washington just got penalized 15 yards for "shooting a bow and arrow" after an interception.

No Fun League indeed.

EDIT: tweet, with video.

So . . . Julio Jones is pretty good. 15 targets, 12 catches, 1 TD, 300 yards. THREE HUNDRED YARDS.

There are no secondaries in the NFC South.

Carolina at Atlanta: Carolina was absolutely dismantled by the Minnesota Vikings defense last week. Atlanta has been flying high on offense, scoring 24, 35, and 45 points over the first 3 weeks. Still, even with the Falcons at home, Vegas gives 1-2 Carolina a 3 point edge in this contest. The good news for Newton, after taking a beating last week, is that Atlanta has generated no pass rush this year, tied for next-to-last with 3 sacks. I think Carolina is too good to go down 1-3, but their defense has to keep Atlanta from turning the game into a track meet.

Defense hasn't been a problem for Carolina (...) don't read too much into ATL's 45 on Monday night. The Saints only play 8 on defense.

So, about that...

503 passing yards for Matt Ryan.

The Bears won. The worst part about it is that it's going to give people hope.

Good call by the announcers.

Is Matt Ryan elite?

Both who I wanted on Keeper and didn't pull the trigger due to price. I've learned my lesson.

*high fives his ESPN autobidder*

Despite all that, Carolina had the ball down 8 with 1:30 to go. But since Cam Newton was out for a possible concussion, Derek Anderson threw a pick-6 to seal the loss.

Flacco only needed one first down for a game-winning FG but came up incomplete 4 times.

Were his incomplete passes elite?

Carr's two TD throws in the 4th were elite.

NE at home 0 points. Wow.

Brady back against the Browns. Think I know who'll win that.

The Browns? That's the game that NE usually loses.

Doesn't Brady at some point have to start showing his age?

As a division leader at 3-1, do I want SF (1-2) to lose or DAL (2-1) to lose?

He's been showing a lot lately.

As a starting running back, Charles Sims is a really good third-down running back.

So everyone's really into these late games, huh?

Still wondering why Gabbert is playing.

Happy I can actually watch a 49ers game on network TV but annoyed at them losing to the Cowboys right now. What's to say?

Are there any notable games?

Paxton Lynch is going to get a lot of press for his good play in the second half once Semenboy got injured, but that's going to ignore the fact that two Robert Ayers didn't play, and both Gerald McCoy and rookie Noah Spence went out in the first half. Throw in another DE already on IR and the fact another has been in and out, Tampa has been without possibly their best five defensive linemen in the second half. Lynch is basically playing in a glorified seven on seven drill right now.

Also, Chris Conte still sucks.
