Thanks for taking all your free time doing this. Really appreciate it.
I also prefer not to open the 10 team can of worms. Guess we'll see.
So, to be clear, I'll join all the leagues that will have me

Yeah, would be a shame since Keeper is my favorite league and has nothing to do with keeping Antonio Brown for his entire career.
Not that I've thought about it more, I wouldn't mind sitting out as well. I'm still getting adjusted to working overnights, and doubt I'll be able to keep up with much football as it is. But if we miraculously have enough to fill 3 I would play.
I would be interested in joining Redraft... if I pick Division 3 I win automatically right?
(Probably D2 will be right for me)
Noob question: does this use NFL fantasy or similar or is it custom?

I'm interested in joining redraft. Sorry for the late request - but I literally listened to the podcast mention this as the thread of the week like 5 minutes ago. If there's no space that's totally cool.
I'd be happy to fill into fantasy leagues where needed. Any format.
I'm totally up for taking a second dynasty team and exploiting them as a farm team for House Legion.

If I cared about Dynasty I would totally use my veto here.
How did I not know about GWJ FF?
I'm interested in any format, but can only commit to one GWJ FF league. Redraft is preferred, but I'll sign up for essentially anything.
PS - How much is the entry fee for pro, before I commit to signing up for it?
PPS and Edit - If you twist my arm and no one else commits, I could probably do redraft and dynasty.
PPPS - The dynasty and keeper rules are... sparse. What does a year one player do for a team, inherit someone else's team?
PPPPS - Are there transcriptions anywhere of the conference call? It's hard for me to do podcasts, but easy to read stuff.
All the redraft leagues are free except Pro.
Yes, you will inherit a team.
I've never seen a transcript for the podcast.
Welcome to the leagues!
Grump, I sent you a reply regarding my Keeper team.
Is there a limit to the number of players I can choose to keep and when is the deadline for declaring Keepers?
Excited to jump into Keeper this season!

In Keeper we use an auction $ system (with a blind bid $ system for free agent pickups) and the players inflate price into the next year. The draft budget for keeper is $200, so you can keep as many players as you want up to their total sum of $200*!
*Small caveat, you need to keep at least $1 per open slot on your team, as the minimum bid is $1. So technically you can keep as many players as you want up to $200 - ($1 * # of open roster spots).

Grump has a spreadsheet in the OP with the keeper prices for all the players so you can figure out who you want to keep.
I'm definitely in for D1 and Dynasty. Sorry it took me so long to respond.
In for any leagues with open spots. Longtime forum lurker and the recent podcast spurred me to join.
Hopefully not too late! Thanks again.
Um, I can't seem to access my inbox. Is that because I just signed up days ago and some other authorization has yet to occur or have I erred in some way?
Yeah you need to make I think 10 posts to get to above Coffee Grinder before you can use PMs.
Uh... OK. I won't spam this thread so let me ask this - someone said above the dynasty / keeper aspects of the rules are sparse - I concur!
Or rather, I have questions - so keepers go up by $4 or so per year and you can keep as many as you want provided you can pay for them all.
But each of these leagues, dynasty and keeper, each have an in-season free-agent draft, right? How are those players valued for $ purposes?
I assume all these drafts are all done live at some point?

Waivers are a weekly blind bidding process. Each team has a $100 waiver budget for the season. In Keeper, a claimed player's pre-inflation value is the amount of the winning waiver bid.

All drafts are done live through Fleaflicker (except Keeper, because FF does not support auction drafts), and when the league participants are finalized, Grump will share some WhenIsGood links for everyone to indicate the times they would be available to live draft, and Grump picks the most accommodating times for each league.

I don't recall the exact percentages but the increase goes something like "$4 or 40%, whichever is higher". We had some fun community discussion in the first couple years that resulted in some players (namely free agent pickups and players who over-performed against the league average at the position) gaining a higher inflation boost than others in order to simulate how hard it is to 'keep' a player on your roster if they can demand a higher salary.
More.
Is there a limit to # of players kept in dynasty? Does dynasty just have a straight yearly draft for whoever is left or, as I've seen in other similar leagues, is there a system involving where the players kept were originally drafted (or other setup)?
In keeper, if I draft TE Mr. X for $5 and then I decide to stream TEs and just drop Mr.X, is Mr.X still $5 for pre-inflation purposes?
18 dynasty keepers. The dynasty draft consists of everyone not on a roster at draft time, including the incoming rookie class.
Grump will have to answer the keeper value one for certain.
In keeper, if I draft TE Mr. X for $5 and then I decide to stream TEs and just drop Mr.X, is Mr.X still $5 for pre-inflation purposes?
As I recall, it is the average of the two values ([draft price + pickup price] / 2)
So theoretically, you could drop Mr X and then pick him back up for a lower price in order to reduce his price. 2 things stopping that:
1) You are giving other teams a chance to pick up Mr. X while he's on the open market
2) the FA pickup window closes before the end of the year, meaning you can only stream TE's for so long
I remember there was some contention about that second part, particularly for playoff teams with injured QB's who needed someone, ANYONE, they could plug into the roster, but I forget the resolution to that.
