ClockworkHouse presents SallyNasty's Game Club Announcements "Where the Games come monthly, but the cheevos are forever!"

i have 96 hours on the steam clock for dishonored. would be a waste not to push it over 100, really.

I think the ironic pick of Dying Light sounds good since I had just finished Dishonored late last year. It's ironic because in my time zone / location (which is the best time zone / location and thus the only one in the world) the days are getting longer and the sun stays out for a bit more as well. Growing Light sounds too optimistic though.

Alright, maybe I'll spend this month knocking something off my pile then.

See you choffers in April.

Dying Light! Looks like this will be another 3 week one. You all want to start next Monday or take 2 weeks off? Dishonored(April) will be a 2 week play through, methinks.

Where's the thread for March so I can link in Pile of Shame thread?

Help a guy out here... sheesh.

I need to play the demo for Dying Light, see if it catches me.

Oh, you mean this little fella?

I am subbing to this thread because I love the idea! Don't know if I'll get in on the practice, but I hope our interests coincide one of these days.

I haven't joined in since Alien Isolation, but I keep an eye on the monthly game club and will be joining up when some of my Pile games show up. I've kept busy with the quarterly jrpg club and a few of my own pile/new games.

So this month(Dying Light) has been pretty quiet. Are people still down for Dishonored? We could do anything! Maybe Wasteland 2 or Sniper Elite 3? Any thoughts?

I've been waiting for Dishonored to be a game club pick before giving it another attempt. But I doubt my initial impressions will be much different, so don't make any plans on my account.

I know it's a bs thing to say—just keep playing this game you're not enjoying for x hours and then it gets better—but at least in Dishonored's case it's like two, versus Final Fantasy. High Overseer Campbell! That's when the proper Thief-esque vertical game begins. Everything before that is just overly long tutorial and story setup.

My vote goes for dishonoured.

I feel it would be dishonorable to change the game pick now.

... what?

I'm okay with dishonored only because on all honesty, I'll be playing dark souls 3

DIshonoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed :3

Sounds like Dishonored it is:)

Should't really add to the ps3 pile, but just checked online and they have a copy of goty edition in local cex store for a fiver... Mmm... When does this kick off? Off on hols for a week on Saturday... But if it's not poor form to start early? Could catch up in advance... Have wanted to give this game a go for a while.

I'll make the thread tonight but let's start 4/11!

Couldn't just push it to 4/12?

I am so down for Dishonored. We planning on covering DLC as well? I haven't played the extra stuff yet, just the base game a few years ago.

By the way - I have a couple of Steam copies of the base game sitting gathering dust in my Steam inventory if anyone wants to give it a shot.

Argh, if I wasn't already trying to wrap up Fire Emblem Awakening, and then launching into FFX-2 for the quarterly jrpg thread in April, and diving into Dark Souls 3 as soon as it's out, then I would be all over this since Dishonored is in my backlog. I'll just have to be late to the party on this one!

I'll probably start early (sorry, Sally!) to try to get as much played as I can before the 12th.

Sweet - Dishonored seems like a good palate cleanser as I try to finally beat Dragon Age Inquisition and begin Fallout 4.

So what are we thinking about for next month?

Dark Souls 3!

Darksiders 2
Resident Evil Revelations 2

Does it have to be Triple-A? I played the first case in Aviary Attorney last night and think I'm gonna start the next one tonight. It's fun! And cheap!

Also: with Homefront: The Revolution and Mirror's Edge: Catalyst releasing next month, and both being reboot-ish, perhaps it's worth revisiting the original games for those that missed 'em.
