I've never understood how one can put their rectum on somebody's face and still be able to walk.

well I got news for ya, kiddo.

The amount of hubris on the parts of Miller and Talib is astounding.

Jerod Mayo retires

This dead time has become can your team survive without someone retiring time.

@29. It was only a few years ago where he was considered one of the best LBs in the league. A couple injury ridden seasons and the rise of Hightower and Collins probably didn't help his career path. He was either going to have to play for NE with a severe salary reduction, get traded and restructure, or retire.

I don't blame him on his choice. The dude took one hell of a beating in his time in the NFL.

FO's reader awards for 2016 are up. Bortles got edged out by Carr in the best improvement from year one to year two and while Bortles showed way more improvement to me, we the readers collectively got two categories very much correct:

I like Bortlesmania getting the 4th highest vote total in players to breakout in 2016.

How do you "break out" after throwing for 4400 yards and 35 TDs?

Bortles still has improving to do, for sure, but I don't know how much more "out" a QB can be than those kinds of numbers.

Playoffs?

Rightfully or not.

So what you're saying is that he'd have to get traded to a real team.

Exactly.

As would Allen Robinson.

That would be the team breaking out though. Jags were the #14 offense but the #31 defense. It's the latter that needs to break out. And perhaps rushing offense (#27 last year). Bortles and the pass attack is the only part that has broken out.

HEY!

Lavonte David (A) plays in a small market, (B) plays on a bad team, and (C) plays as a 4-3 OLB, when 3-4 OLBs get all the press because sacks are what get the hype, and that's obviously a 3-4 thing. I guess he'll just be our little secret.
