- Pro: Karma's Gaming Grandpas (karmajay)
- Division I: Chip's Ahoy (Apollo0507)
- Division II: Brown Coats (UpToIsomorphism)
- Keeper: Bonney's Criminals (Bill_Bonney)
- Dynasty: Pocket Lacys (Evo)
Congrats to the champions!
And thanks to Grumpicus for his excellent league management.
My observation: I find it interesting how often points don't translate to victories. Take the Pro league, where Leap's Peeps had an 11-2 record with 1610 pts., while Gumbie's Dammits had a 6-7 record with 1623 pts. I had a similar result in another league I'm in, where I didn't make the playoffs despite having the most points in the league.
Have any other interesting observations from this season? Share them below.
Karma won 1st in Pro AND won the consolation bracket!

haha yeah that may be a mistake
Thanks for everything once again, Grumps!
And sort of thanks to Legion for whatever you do in Dynasty.

Heh. Time to go bug hunting. Thanks.
Edit: Fixed! Fleaflicker changed their URL structure this year and I hadn't updated the post-season patterns yet. Thanks again for noticing.
No problemo. If we are looking for more bugs, I believe the keeper league standings are incorrect as well... I was 3rd, not 5th. Not sure of the other orders.
Looking forward to next year in keeper. Jolly, we may have to make another off-season trade as I find myself in the same situation as last year with way too many WRs I am keeping.

Hmm, if that was in Pro, it'd be monetarily significant. Unfortunately, that's what the official Fleaflicker standings are showing. I'll raise it with Fleaflicker.
In other news, while I was in the code last night, I ended up adding a new module. Pro peeps, please review the "Final Award Totals" above and make sure they are as expected. Disbursements will happen early next week and at that point, results will be final.
It's fine, just figured it was a bug.
Thanks Grumps, it was a fun season.
...the moment you realize you don't have to keep track of injury reports because the season's over.
Thanks so much again, Grump. I really enjoyed the competition in Pro and I'm pretty pumped that I was able to take my Dynasty team to a championship. I'll be back next season.
Thanks Grumps, it was a fun season.
A very strong 2nd to this. I had more here than in my "jellybean" league.
SCREW YOU ANTONIO BROWN!
I highlighted my championship week game thingy. Damn you!
Apollo? The guy I could have beat in the first round playoff game if I had played 1 of like 6 different bench players? He won it all?
Ugh...

Rude.
Coulda, shoulda, woulda.
Thanks Grump!
So I've only just moved to the United States and participated in my first fantasy football (work colleagues ESPN league).
How do I go about registering interest in joining the GWJ fantasy football for next season?

There'll be a sign up come next August. Best way is probably to post in a thread like this and when the new thread is up someone will likely make a note and link in this thread.
Thanks!
Nice survey Grump, it will be interesting to see the response rate and what the results are.
Thank you, Grumpicus, for coordinating the league for all of us! Great job!
Thanks to everybody in Division II for the, ahem, educational inaugural season. It was fun and I look forward to next year.
*Done!
Grumpicus wrote:If you have a couple minutes to spare, I've created a short survey form that I'd appreciate if you filled out.
36 participants, 11 respondents. I'm not going to hard sell the survey but your feedback matters... especially, if you're of the group that prefers the larger rosters as many responses so far are inclined towards a smaller roster.
The vocal minority* shall rule Goodjerdom! Oh noes!
*Pure assumption.
...and done. Another voice for the minority.
