Anno 2070 Catch All (Demo available)

I'm still playing this. The DRM is awful but the game itself is great.

I'm anxious to try out the full version.

They didnt remove that yet??

Very good game and well worth the 29.99. DRM sucks, but the game is quite enjoyable.

Great. Another free to play web based city builder where you have to buy virtual currency to accomplish anything in the game.

Oh, and Silent hunter online, and Might and Magic Heroes online.

I just got a 50% off coupon for owning Settlers 7. So, should I jump on this for $25 or hold out for the holiday sale? I'm far from in need of a new game but I had wanted to check this out.

I'd wait and see if you can get a nice bundle package with the DLC.

So, the whole package can be had for 40 bucks, they still have the terrible DRM on this?

I answered in the steam sale thread.

Hey y'all, I just got this as a gift, and while I'm loving it, I'm just wondering if the expansion is worth it since it's on sale at the moment. Could y'all enable or disable me please?

Thanks!

Yes, let us just go find that in the 142 page, 4200+ post thread.

The expansion is really an addon to the endgame. There are MANY cool things in it though. But it's typically items and factions that come up playing the free form game about 1 -2 hours into a session. The Scientist faction got a high level gear and rank addon. As well as many new underwater items. However, If your only playing for the campaign, you may not see the expansion stuff for a while into the game.

But it has still been one of my favorite games of 2012, and I bought the expansion the second it went on sale this time.

I picked this game up on Amazon but haven't gotten it yet. Does it register on Steam so I can buy the add-ons there?

Tagging as I just bought the game, and 8 hours have disappear.

The main campaign is nice so far.

As I understood, some if the dlc offered are to unlock items within the game right away? They are from event, so playing te event should get me those items as well?

Now, I'll finish the main game, and look at the summer sale to get the expension.

I wanted thought as well on the mp side of that game. Is it nicely done? Are you 2 against each other? Or the same team working in the same goal?

Guess I like this game. It is the city builder I wanted since a long time...

I think lots of hours will sinked into that game.

I love all the Anno games. I haven't played 2070 for a while but it's still in my Steam Favorites list.

Ok, got already ~24 hours in that game.

I am surprise of the quality so far of the game and must again post about it.

Those last missions are becoming a pain, and I like it :$

Holy crap, Manach, I've only put a few in so far (I blame Skyrim, which I got mere days before), but I should return to it.

Now, I'm afraid to have to throw money for the dlcs..

Those missions are long, and need planning sometime. There is those events who give you the similar items from the DLC, but you need to do the hard one as well to get the full upgraded item, before everyone throw in enough mission points to complete the event. And you'll throw a max of 16 points into it as well. think it's either 75,000 or 750,000 points. and I began, it was at 160,000 I think, and it's double in 3-4 days.

So, the Global/World even got me by the throat.

Already in the last one, and having a blast. It's challenging, I like that.

I clocked over 50 hours so far. Guess I'll need to finish this soon, as I have 2 missions left, but got sunked in the continous play.

After, Expansion and DLCs will be bought.

EDIT : I'm weak.. I just went ahead and bought them. More fun my way!

Anyone trying out Anno Online? I signed up for the open beta tonight but only put about 30 mins in. Anno 1404 was one of my favorite games, this (after 30 mins) has a very strong 1404 vibe. I'm clever_id in game if anyone wants to friend me up, I'm not sure what the benefits are at this point.

I tried the beta out yesterday. Played for about 20 minutes then stopped. I just can't get into a game in a browser.

I tried Anno Online and didn't get anything but a white screen after logging in and signing on. I guess I won't be playing that for a while.

I've been playing a lot Anno 2070 lately, which maybe makes me late to the party. I love the game, a lot. It's a great mix of city building and real time strategy. But that's not why I'm her etoday... I'm here today because it was just brought to my attention that the years in all the Anno games always add up to 9, in some form. Weird.

Yes, and ANNO is 1 + 14 + 14 + 15 = 44, and 4 + 4 = ... damn, so close.

Try ASCII.

A = 65
n = 110
n = 110
o = 111

65 + 110 + 110 + 111 = 396
3 + 9 + 6 = 18
1 + 8 = 9
HalfLife 3 confirmed, q.e.d.

Kind of sad that no one posted about this. It looks amazing! My dream is to have a science fiction city building game, Anno is not quite city building but it's close enough for me. I really want to try this game.

Look nice. Just hope it doesn't have a bad drm system again.
