You forget that two 8-7 teams could become 9-7. How does the game handle tiebreakers?

It''s not my fault. Swampy used big words and made me confused. Technically, though, my original statement is still true: One 9-7 teams will be sitting home unless...

So Warlock, you still want to play Seattle? Sorry for the cluster*. Anyone else want to take over Seattle for one game if Warlock isn''t interested anymore? Thanks.

I could play as Seattle if needed, though if Warlock wants it, he can have it.

Furthermore, a question - when the championship is over, will we be continuing with having two seasons running? Have ourselves a GWJ NFL 2005 II league?

Because if that''s up in the air, I vote yes. I think we''ve been doing just fine having two leagues.

I''m getting confused who i''m playing. But legion thanks for pointing that out. By the way nice winj last week I forgewt to say.

Ruthless, at the moment, you''re not playing anyone... but if you want to post your availability, that would be most helpful.

Legion - Are we a-go sometime this weekend or Monday?

Sure, how about Saturday night?

Hey SpyNavy, nice to see that you aren''t taking our game last week out on your current opponents.

Actually I wasnt - my game between Pigpen was much closer then it seems - we got into a shootout at the end and with LnL it would probably been much closer if he had understood some of the ""hidden features"" of the game like swapping people in and out of the depth chart. He had the mid season Carolina update and was pretty crippled until we moved Davis, Foster, Smith and a couple of others to their default spots.

I''m availability is after 8pm est on just about every night

Logan, I haven''t seen any posts from Warlock and since he already assumes he''s off the hook, we''ll give you the ball. Let me know if you accept and I''ll drop you from the league and re-invite...

Hey, Grump,

I''m in. I''m pulling myself out of the Giants right now; go ahead and set the invite.

Logan just tell when you a ready to play and i''ll be there

We''ll try for tomorrow, say, 3pm PST. I don''t know when Warlock and I are playing our game, but we''ll work it out.

Poppinfresh, I''ll be online tonight, most likely after 8 EST.

Sounds good. I''ll try to hook up with you then. I just got done with my family Easter stuff myself...

Swampy-- It''s a bit past 8:30, and I''m afraid I can''t hang around anymore, as the natives are getting restless. I''m free Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 EST-8:30 EST and Tuesday from 6:30 EST on. Take your pick!

Neo, let''s make a date.

Mumbles, I got your message late, but I tried you at around nine anyway. Only had a few minutes to wait. Hope you got my messages. Now it''s 20 past our scheduled date ... I hate waiting so I guess I''ll catch you again some other time. I can do tomorrow night after 6 or so EST. Let me know.

sorry got caught up in a clan match I didn''t know we were going to have I didn''t see you on when you send a message through the espn messanger and I''m on another game I don''t get message I got done about 10:20 I just missed you as I switched games you were gone can you play tomorrow at 10 I might even be able to do 9 I''ll look for you on aim if I can do it before 10.

Good game with firesloth. The game was 21-3 before we even blinked (couple big plays on offense and a sack + fumble + return for defensive TD), but was evenly matched the rest of the way.

On a different note, looking at the stats page, there are now two Jaguars quarterbacks on the top 5 in passer rating, and neither of them are Leftwich.

Fun game...I had a pretty humbling football evening, getting stomped by both Legion and Grumpicus (and by about the same score).

I think the worst stat of the game is that LaBrandon Toefield (who?) ran for 123 yards and 2 TDs.

There''s also the fact that I had 22 first downs and Dante Culpepper had 340 yards passing and lost handily. Wow.

The real killer was throwing that INT for a TD right after recovering an onside kick. (By the way, counting the game with Grumpicus, I recovered 2 of 4 onside kicks tonight!)

Thanks for the game!

Ahh, my secret weapon... Coach Saban taught him well.

Yeah, I remember him from his days in the LSU backfield with Domanick Davis (kinda like Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown this past year at Auburn). If he can stay healthy (sounds about right for Fred Taylor''s backup), he can be quite a player.

Edit:

I don''t think it counts if/when the QB only has 12 attempts. Heck, given a 16-week season, I''m not sure how much I respect Garrard''s measly 45 attempts.

For the curious, the top 10 quarterbacks by rating with over 100 attempts are:
1. T. Brady NE 83-163 1692 yds 15 TD 11 INT 90.3 Rating
2. T. Green KC 93-191 1997 yds 14 TD 11 INT 86.7 Rating (Leads league in yards per attempt; second in league in sacks [55])
3. B. Favre GB 158-327 3065 yds 26 TD 17 INT 86.2 Rating (Leads league in completions, yards, yards per game, and TDs)
4. M. Bulger STL 127-220 1837 yds 12 TD 12 INT 80.4 Rating (Leads league in completion percentage)
5. B. Johnson TB 134-247 2054 yds 15 TD 13 INT 80.3 Rating
6. B. Leftwich JAC 85-197 1672 yds 15 TD 9 INT 79.7 Rating
7. B. Roethlisberger PIT 120-240 2268 yds 16 TD 15 INT 79.3 Rating
8. M. Brunell WAS 88-179 1502 yds 9 TD 8 INT 76.2 Rating
9. D. McNabb PHI 146-330 2688 yds 25 TD 18 INT 75.4 Rating (Leads league in attempts, INTs and sacks [57])
10. K. Boller BAL 60-131 1201 yds 7 TD 7 INT 74.0 Rating (Lowest number of sacks [15], INTs, attempts, and completions in league)

Of course, all of these stats get pretty screwed up when not all games actually get played. Of course, if they have at least 100 attempts... (Additionally, some of these are after 16 games and others are after only 15 since not everyone has played their final game yet.)

Notice that Tom Brady leads in no single category other than rating... and the one that counts - wins [14].

Details, details. You''re just mad all 3 of my QBs are ahead of Pennington.

Quarterbacks, schmaurterbacks. Fred Taylor''s the man.

When is the deadline to play games?

Listed right at the top of Grumpy''s original post there.

The new deadline is 3/29/2005.

Poppinfresh, 8:30 EST Monday sound do-able?

Certis, I have game scheduled for 10 p.m. with Swampyankee. Do you want to try to play our game after that one or try for Tuesday night. I already know you are gonna pound me so if we can''t play you get the win.
