I have been watching everything dealing with Toy Fair 2015 so I thought I'd make a toy thread. There is already one for Legos.
Feel free to post anything about any toys.
The one thing I liked most from Toy Fair 2015 was the Batman The Animated Series Batmobile.
Working lights and wheels. Fits to figures from the TAS line. Cost is $89 to $100 dollars.
I like that stuff but don't like the thread title

On topic for Toy Fair I liked the new Diamond Select Ghostbuster figures and the Funko Firefly figures.

I liked the Vader Mr Potato Head they had a few years back.
Was just at Fred Meyers, man do crappy toys cost a lot of money. I was tempted to buy a couple of frozen dolls. I love that movie. I thought they would go well with my catwoman and wonder woman barbies.
And here are some really expense toys.
I agree with the No LEGO rule. LEGO bricks are childish and even if you make something really complex with them, that thing is still covered in weird angles and nubs.

Here is a toy question. I have like 10 figmas in my closet that I've never opened. Do figmas come with stands or do I need to buy those seperate? I know SHfiguarts don't come with a stand.
Also, anyone collecting the StarWars Black 6" figures. I have a bunch (still waiting to be opened of course)
Re: That Hulk looks good but I purposely stayed away from Hot Toys. Just too expensive (That was before my Lego addiction)
Some come with stands and some don't. I was seriously looking at one of the Kosmos figmas figures. That thing has three stands, one for her and two for her massive guns.
I never bought in figures that cost more than $10 I just like looking at them. I would have bought the hot toys ghost rider if I had known about it but know it is like $700. Some other company made one almost exactly like it for $20 dollars but that goes for $200 now. So I'll probably never have a good ghost rider.
If anyone watched Throne of Atlantis that came out a few weeks ago the action figures are out for it. Only four in the line Aquaman, Black Manta, Mera and Ocean Master. The series looks good but lack accessories. Not a lot of articulation. They run for $18.
So I'll probably never have a good ghost rider.

Hot Toys Hulk Buster armor preorder is up for only $825. If you want the matching Hulk you'll have to pay extra, but if you are buying the Hulk Buster you are probably made of money so go crazy.

Of course they do. That series is far too popular not to get any.
Man ebay is a minefield of bootlegs. Almost bought one without knowing. I don't really have a problem with bootlegs. I have a problem with people trying to past bootlegs off as the real thing. Some of these guys are using images of the real figure for their ebay auctions.
I'd buy that for a dollar.

There are a few more companies I used to frequent but the number of companies in general has exploded over the course of my decade in the hobby. If you don't know what a BJD is (or ABJD) but you like dolls, then this is a terrible rabbit hole.
If you want to know more (and I mean terrifying amounts of more), then feel free to ask. But I think the links and the sticker shock usually speak for themselves. A lot of the appeal is being able to fully customize things. There's a whole forum for the hobby which still has a vibrant second hand market if anyone is interested, (http://www.denofangels.com/), but again.... rabbit hole.

Dolls have a long history, nearly as long as humanity itself, presumably, so I went old school with this one, but it might be a little too mean.
Are they made from children kidnapped by witches?
I've seen pics of those on some sites but had no idea they were so expensive! Gives collecting Hot Toys collectors a run for their money!

There was a time when I was slightly addicted to the prospect of getting one of these. Specific a kosmos dollfie or other anime version of dollfie. The problem was they are over a thousand dollars and you need to be on a waiting list to get one. I got the idea of maybe getting a basic one for $200 and getting a outfit. Problem is the outfit only comes with the doll. I couldn't get the outfit or the guns on their own. So I gave up on the idea.

There are literally thousands of these. The style of some are sad. There are just as many happy looking dolls. I think most in general have neutral faces but maybe you might find what I call neutral a sad face.

That looks like a Dollfie Dream to me. Technically I think those might be vinyl instead of resin cast, but I know you could probably get a secondhand one without too much trouble if you're dedicated and post a WTB on the forums (they were grandfathered into the hobby despite different materials and builds if I recall correctly). Sometimes people leave the hobby suddenly and sell everything mint.
