Persona 5

I would be surprised if there's any noticeable graphical differences between the two versions. I'll be going PS4 most likely, but I'm only expecting snappier load times and Vita streaming support from the PS4 version.

If Sony has game suspending sorted out by the time this releases, I'll probably get a Vita so I can obsessively remote play this from my office.

It's just the 1080p vs 720p thing for me. It's fairly noticeable on my TV at my typical viewing distance. Obviously, it wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't have a PS4, but since I do, might as well wait if there are different release dates. I don't want to double dip.

Yeah I have my PS3 and 4 hooked up to my PC monitor so I would much prefer the PS4 version if possible. I would also all but guarantee that there will be very noticeable differences between the PS3 and 4 versions. I imagine the PS3 version will have a lot more frame rate issues and and much less impressive spell effects. Nothing really important for a game like this, especially given it started out on PS3, but definitely noticeable.

I'll wait for the PS4 version, no question about it.

Yup, PS4 version for me too

No PS4, so PS3 for me

But who will I play multiplayer with?

I'll be on PS3.

I'm also looking hard at Dancing All Night. It's not an everyday thing, but sometimes I'm in the mood for something like that.

My god, it's full of awesome. Can't wait. Is this supposed to come out by the end of this year in NA or are we looking at a 2016 situation?

Atlus USA still has it listed on their site for 2015. However, they only have the PS3 version listed, so there's a possibility that the PS4 version won't arrive until 2016.

I hope that's not true. Maybe 2016 will give us a Vita version as well?

Who am I kidding, I'd probably buy it for all 3 consoles.

Oh, I'm definitely getting that. I'm kind of amazed that I held off on PQ as long as I did.

I am assuming this will be a simultaneous release at least on this side of the Pacific. I mean, I could be wrong, but I think that's the more likely outcome. The game won't be seeing the light of day in the English speaking territories for quite some time, there are tons of eager PS4 customers now, and the localization applies equally to both platforms.

Game looks so good. I'll be getting this on PS4 if it's a simultaneous release with PS3. If it is not, I'll be getting both. Plus, I'll have to buy a new PS3, since my kids have taken over my old one. There's no way I would be able to play this game if I have to share the system with the kids. I guess should be hoping for a simultaneous release then. It'll save me ~$300.

Someone's itching to do a critique on a new game soundtrack.

Menu porn.

The advancing numbers thing is the best. Makes the whole thing feel so mechanical.

So something I noticed while watching the trailer for the billionth time is that they don't actually fight any shadows, the enemies you see them fighting are the sandman persona/demon.

Man, this series has a sense of style. I don't think there's anything comparable in the video game world that brings along its own sense of cool.

The World Ends With You is probably the closest anyone else has come.

Good collection of info: http://www.usgamer.net/articles/ever...

My greatest fear for this game is that I may be burnt out on demon fusing and the overall battle system.

Oh, and that it takes a bazillion years to finish, but that is what it is.

Same here. Plus nice to have all my Persona games on the same system.

Did they release 3 and 4 on PS3? I thought they were PS2 and Vita games.

Yeah, you can get them through the Store now as PS Classics.

Persona 4 was also originally a PS2 game.

If the trend continues, you can expect a handheld version 3-4 years from now.

Persona 3 (2006) - Persona 3 Portable (2009)

Persona 4 (2008) - Persona 4 Golden (2012)
