Uh... Shaving? (NWS dialog)

Morrolan also has to do it as do I. Basically if it isn't on the head it's got to go.

May I just take this opportunity to say that I, for one, miss Shaven Sexy Sanjuro, and wish he would return to the fold.

Mmmm...I beg to differ.

It scares me that this thread still gets revived as often as it does.

I would rebut, but I got distracted by your avatar.

This thread is two years old today. My how the important ones do live on.

*Edit* Wait! Read that wrong. 10 more days. I can't wait!

Boy, this thread is super-relevant to ten years ago me!

Started the manacaping myself after a friend suggested the "mailbox theory." A mailbox doesn't look as tall if grass grows high around it.

Shoulders, chest, etc. are part of the routine. If there were a magic pill to stop all growth in those regions, yes, sign me up.

My curiosity asks, why is this in games and platforms?

I once trimmed the hedge and while it did make the deck look bigger the itches would make me never want to do it again.

I don't know what kind of sick game you're playing, Certis.

I guess it is, in some ways, like a game and a successful first time is definitely an achievement.

The itches are less with repeated trimmings.

Norelco Body Groomer 7100.

I shall say n'more.

I'd bet there have been quite a few man-grooming tech innovations since this thread's birth. Thanks for the link, Mike. To the wishlist that goes!

Is space limited? Does it have to be for hair?

Reading the first few pages of this thread... These boards (perhaps the world?) have come a long way in ten years.

See, when I read the title of this thread, I assumed that NWS stands for New Wet Shavers, and you know, since I've been wet shaving for a while now, and recently graduated to a shaving brush and bowl and proper shaving cream, that I would benefit from checking out the thread, and maybe share my experiences with others.

But I'm Asian and not very hairy, so I don't have to shave my whole body, just my face. Although I did shave my legs once when I was into cycling. Or maybe I thought about it. I don't remember now.

Anyway, NWS is "Not What it Stands for" I think.

NWS is an alternative to NSFW.

I just read those and - yeah, yikes.

If fairness, I can't say ten-years-ago me would have responded any better.

Hooray for growth!

Spoiler:

Unless you prefer to be shorn, in which case hooray for that, too. :D

My own growth was implied in all of that - GWJ has changed me quite a bit.

Personal growth, that is. Wait, no. Damn. Now I can't figure out how to differentiate the two types of growth being discussed here.

Well, I was at least as hairy, if not more, 10 years ago, so that hasn't changed much. So now you know what I meant.

I think.

It's funny to skim through and see regulars who were posting back then as well. Then you think "Yep I can totally tell this is that person 10+ years ago".

I am also confused as to the location of this thread. Necro threads can be fun though.

Aw, it moved to "everything else"

I think Certis is playing "Hide the Razor Thread".

If he was trying to hide it wouldn't it be better hidden in P&C?
Which makes me wonder what is the least active sub forum?

Wasn't he doing a promo for an online razor company a few conference calls ago?

Is it wrong that the first thing I noticed was all the ' were changed to '' at some point in the first few pages?

I'm guessing during a database move when ' was throwing off a SQL command or something and '' was the escape method or something. It's a bit weird, thought they'd all turned to " at first.

I've noticed that with a lot of the older threads in the GWJ bible. It's quite disconcerting at first.
