The most astonishing fact about Clone Wars is that the guy who does an amazing job portraying Obi-Wan is the same guy who played Tidus in FFX.

He'll always be Ratchet of "Ratchet & Clank" fame to me.

Never played FFX, but the guy who does Obi-Wan on CW just cements him as my favorite character. He's amazing.

I absolutely loved this as did my 4 year old. Head nod to all the Firefly comparisons, you could definitely map each of the characters between the two shows. The use of the Williams score throughout the episodes was well done. I also noticed the ode to the Star Tours ride since we just did that in September; my 4 year old said "hey we rode that ride". I could be off, but the Imperial Inquisitor strikes me as very representative of the the Star Wars MMO as does the arms merchant they occasionally deal with. Loved the Bail Organa scene, spot on. They are already making toys from Rebels - at least Legos, saw the ship at a recent Legofest we took youngest boy to in Richmond. Also, I didnt see it mentioned, but if you do have Disney XD On Demand there are four or five, 3 minute intro movies for each character which are pretty good as well. I want more back story on the pink Mandalorian "art deco" armor - I liked the way they did that. I'm a big fan of Zeb as well - he is definitely the "Chewbacca" of the show.

Man I dig this show so much. More than Clone Wars even, I guess because the original trilogy is where it's at for me. Though I really hope this show addresses the whereabouts of some of the characters from the clone wars that just sort've vanished(we can't assume they are all dead can we?)

Really good ep last night. Kanan's self-doubting, middling yet still badass Jedi is an interesting and seemingly heretofore unexplored idea, is it not? Haven't seen all of Clone Wars, mind you.

The senator whose transmission they intercepted looked exactly like David Niven. I hope he pops up again! Do they need to pay the Niven estate for the rights?

Well,

Spoiler:

Obi-Wan and Yoda aren't :)

I don't think this is as good as Clone Wars though. Still, early days.

but for real don't click if you haven't watched Clone Wars

Spoiler:

It really sucks Obi-Wan won't have any time to hang with his girlfriend - cause she died in CW

To be continued...

What a long week.

Maybe it's just me, but if an episode just had TIE Fighters flying around and shooting I'd consider it on of the best things on TV for that week.

So the Inquisitor left me with a question this week.

Spoiler:

Who is your master?!

Speculative spoiler

Spoiler:

I don't think he's a Jedi. Not quite. Pretty sure he's a padawan who never made it through the full Jedi training, which is why he's having such a hard time training Ezra, why he's very overmatched against the Inquisitor, why he seems to be in a relationship with Hera, etc.

Spoiler:

From what I've read when Order 66 came down, Kanan (not his real name, by the way) was a teenaged apprentice to a Jedi master seen in the movies. I forget the name, but the Inquisitor name dropped her during his first duel with Kanan, which made him freak out a little

The Inquisitor's lightsaber is pure awesomeness. I'm impressed that they have already turned it into a toy.

Heck I might put it on my Christmas list.

Ha, I was mostly thinking of the side characters you see or meet on the various planets. Would be cool to check in with the Mon Kala king from that awesome underwater 3-parter. I still have the final season of Clone Wars to watch so I'm sure some of them are revealed there.

The final season is a little disappointing other than the clone soldiers story (which are always awesome). They're not "moving the story forwards" episodes, they're flavor storylines that weren't quite as good as the ones that went into the full seasons. It's not bad, considering, but after the last season, it's a bit of a dropoff.

Late to the party.

I love everything about this show, except the kid. I guess I'm just over the "teenager doesn't know any better and constantly screws everything up in his attempts to show everyone else how awesome he is," trope.

Oh come on, everyone loved Wesley Crusher.

*cough* you jest...

Listening to the audiobook. It is quite good. Really enjoying the show as well.

My friends and I just did a podcast discussing A New Dawn if you're interested. It's spoilery though, so best to wait until you're done with it.

+1000
I've just seen this trope so damn much over the many many cartoons I've watched,
but Ezra is quite possibly the worst.
edit: because Ezra is smart, in a lot of anime, the jackass just doesn't bother thinking, but Ezra, no, he's a quick thinker.

His only redeeming quality is his crush on Sabine.
I need a battle anime for adults that isn't depressing or gory. Honestly I think that's why MLP:FiM got ppl hooked, TASTE THE RAINBOW.

The episode airing this Monday on Disney XD is available on demand now.

Spoiler:

Frank Oz, probably one of the best puppeteers in my lifetime, is back as the voice of Yoda

Wooooow!

I can't believe they didn't push this episode out before the holidays.

Spoiler:

Everyone totally would have bought an Ezra saber.

Billy Dee back as Lando and James Hong as random alien gangster. Casting on this show is awesome.

Edit: And was I the only one who noticed they were playing sabacc with chips that resembled Star Trek's gold pressed latinum?

Might want to spoiler that since the episode doesn't have wide release until 1/19.

I liked Idiot's Array episode. They did more with Hera than they usually do. This is what I was hoping they would do with their female characters.

This is probably a good episode to checkout if you are just casual on the show since it has a cool tie in.

Love the cameos lately.

Fun setup last night for the season finale next week.

Anyone watch the finale ? Pretty sure they showed Vader in all the promos to

Spoiler:

throw us off the scent that Ahsoka would make an appearance in the episode too!! Looks like she'll be part of the team next season.

The spoiler bit had my daughter and I very excited
