Throwing this out there a little early so we can get in a week of raiding before the holiday break.
Please throw out your raid availability for next week, Tuesday the 16th through Saturday the 22nd. Role and class, of course.
If you weren't around Thursday, we downed Butcher after just a few attempts and then took several good cracks at Brackenspore. Got that fungus down to 50% in one night of tries!
We'll let the Raid ID expire and start over with Kargath next week.
And just to clarify/reiterate: For obvious reasons there won't be any scheduled raids for the week of December 23rd - 29th.
Next raid is Thursday! Same bat time, same bat channel.

Youko, whenever.
I read that heroic kargath is relatively easy. We should consider attempting to snag some heroic upgrades if this is truly the case
I heard a rumor about cake this week?
I can make it on Tues, not sure about fri/sat.

Ret Pally

The people saying he's relatively easy are the folks who have already cleared heroic and are working on mythic.
I should be able to come Tuesday, not sure of the rest of the week.
Either Ele/Resto shaman or MW/WW monk.
Elgard - Holy Priest
I am available from 8-10 eastern Tues and Thursday (normal raid times)

Not quite, I've read many raids still working on 7/7 normal are starting with heroic kargath, and then proceed to do the rest of their normal raid following. Mechanically, the fight is the same. We have practically been one shotting him every week, even with numerous mistakes and player deaths. If we work on positioning it seems plausible.
I do reserve the right to be wrong, since I've never tried it on heroic.
I'd like to see GWJ Blackhand give it a shot this thursday. Given how well we've handled Kargath so far, and the improvements in DPS, I think we have a decent chance of it.
Remember that the Heroic moniker is used to describe the raiding difficulty formerly known as Normal, whereas Normal now is equivalent to the old Flex. It's not the old "let's try this on Heroic" where we would get roflstomped. It's probably doable for our group, especially given that he's only the first boss.
That being said, we almost killed that stupid fungus last night, and time might be better spent setting him and his friends on fire (or cutting them up, or whatever it is we do) instead. We're still making significant progress at this point, and Normal and Heroic do have separate lockouts, so I'm not really sure we want or need to take the step of killing Kargath twice every week when we only have a limited amount of raiding time to work with. Maybe if we have time at the end of the night and want to see if we can one or two-shot him?
Just my thoughts.
Alternatively, a few heroic quality upgrades for the group could easily give us that 2% dps we were missing last night, and give us a better shot at the subsequent bosses

The group I'm running with is in much the same position, but our kills have been pretty clean, relatively speaking. Even so, we're beating our heads against the wall. It's worth taking a shot at for sure, but on the whole, if you've got Kargath and Butcher down, spending time on either Brackenspore or Twin Ogron might be more worthwhile IMO.
Good to see Goodjer raids happening again.
