ESPN MLB 2k5

Maybe DemiUrge is his ""Nom de guerre"".

You know....""Urge""

Yuck!

No, it''s okay. Keep going. I''m writing all your names down.

Main Entry: urge
2 : to undertake the accomplishment of with energy, swiftness, or enthusiasm <urge the attack>

Awww yeah.....and with a travestite no less . Thats some kinky stuff.

All this baseball love and none of you guys want to play fantasy baseball?

Demi''s fantasies obviously aren''t about baseball Highlander.

Just bring it, Tootsie.

That would involve watching baseball which I''m not capable of doing without falling asleep.

I''m finally picking this up tonight. Yay for me! Probably have time to play it in a month or so.

No kidding. I''ve heard we used to have a profesionnal baseball team up here. Apparently they left because not enough people went to see them play. They were too busy watching paint dry.

Okie, I bought the game last night, and I''m going to fire it up tonight after work (I was MUCH too drunk last night to play it). Probably somewhere between 6 and 9pm, EST. Who wants to take this baby out for a spin?

Im down with that if my wife lets me out to play. Check me when you log on: squirrelmonkey.

I would but it''s too early and...

it''s you.

I''ll be around tonight, for various 2k sports

See that Swampy? First Bagga, now him.

YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!! Fresh meat!

Har. Maybe they should form a support group!

(The reality is my wife has the PCs booked for WoW tonight so I can play whatever I want on the X-Box)

If my wife played WoW I would play nothing but WoW. No more ""pay attention to me"" in the middle of a grand contest! She just doesnt understand *shakes head and sighs*

You don''t have to WATCH it. Just review stats. And be a baseball fan. I don''t think I''d ever force any one to watch baseball on television. That''s against the Geneva Convention.

I had so little fun playing last year that by the end of the season I had flaked. IMO, baseball just does not translate to fantasy as good as other sports such as football and hockey

How come there ain''t no freakin reviews of this game to be found?

There ain''t no shortage of MVP Baseball reviews though. Did EA manage to buy exclusivity on game reviews as well?

Its always like that. The company with the biggest cash pipe gets the first reviews. MVP will be rated higher anyway. I''ll bet most reviews wont even mention that ranked play is locked to 5 innings.

Edit: Then again, MLB2K5 took out some features from last year. You can no longer choose specific tasks for your coaches (i.e. what to focus on), at least I havent seen it in this years game. The quick display (white button) is also not as useful as last years game.

I don''t think they''ll get higher review scores. They didn''t with their football and hockey games.

Doesn''t translate? Baseball was the granddaddy of fantasy games. Fantasy baseball is why you have fantasy football and hockey today.

Off topic: Which is odd. IMO Madden plays a slightly better game of pure football than espn. No question when it comes to hockey though.

No, but a lot of reviewers said ""they''re both great!, but I like EA''s more"". I wonder why...

But....I just don''t get it....it''s just not fun. I''m sorry!

What? Are you allowed to have your own opinion on this board? Nooooooo. You''re all supposed to do what I say. In fact, before you do ANYTHING, you should ask: WWHD?

Office Linebacker

Why don''t you go grab my friend Swampy and I a few beers and just shut up, Female Doggo.

Swampy and I ran a game tonight, we don''t know what the hell we''re doing but we learnt some stuff in the process. So far, thumbs up! We''ll see if it has legs for long term play.

Wasn''t able to find it at Futureshop and Walmart. They don''t have it at Blockbuster either. That''s weird.

EB probably has it but entering there is soooo scary.
