MY... GOD...

Well, it's good to know that the special operatives of tomorrow will have loose cannon types cluttering up the radio who probably setup the remote gun turrets to defend them from the xenomorphs.

My declaration for Rainbow Six? Game over, man! Game over!

Bring on the Swat 4!

I heard the Prince of Persia: WArrior Within will be making an appearance in the new r6.

heh..sounds like someone let Marketing run the show for a bit..

Puke.

Highlighted with a white box?
Deployable gun turrets?

Alas, poor Rainbow Six, I knew ye well.

Wow. That''s absolutely pathetic.

If it sells better than the rest of the series though...

what does that tell us?

It''s dead to me.

What the jumping jehosephat is that all about!

i believe they are also making a National Guard-type game where you can go to Kent State during protests, major cities during economic summits, and Florida during hurricanes.

My dream come true! How long have I desired to brutally opress academia? At long last, the waiting is over!

what does that tell us?

It tells me that people wouldn''t know quality if it jumped up and Female Doggoed slapped them in the face, all the while screaming, ''I''m Quality, Female Doggo! I''m Quality!''

We trult are living in a f*cked up world.

what does that tell us?

That the Illuminati like silly hats and gun turrets.

Also, I think this is the last time I''m gonna care about a Rainbow Six thread, unless it''s titled ""New Rainbow Six Tanks, God kills developers with plague""

If that preview is only half-accurate, then R6:4 will be even worse than I had predicted. I am simply stunned.

Ah yes, the new slew of Tom Clancy games for the eXtreme generation. Joy.

Did you hear about Ghost Recon 3? Takes place entirely around a Warped Tour stop near Spokane. One of the Ghosts is an Anime character, and you''re trying to save Jessica Simpson. Good Charlotte and New Found Glory help out.

You are surprised - look what they did to my Beloved Ghost Recon, blech...

Spy, did you ever read Reaper''s impressions post on GR 2?

It''s a really enjoyable game....

If you want to play it on the Xbox in a ""dumb down"" mode. I have no doubt that it is fun, but I liked the old GR and the more involved in depth tactical play.

I''m still getting over the fact that Soldner turned out to be teh suck. I has such high hopes for that game.

I think Battlefield 2 will be the next great modern tactical sim. SWAT 4 should be good as well, but I still want more Ghost recon type games myself.

Battlefield being tatical and a sim?! Step away from the crack pipe my friend.

Yeah I''m looking forward to BF2 more than most others but I wouldn''t call it a tactical sim. ARcade sim maybe. Cause I guess they are taking real-life weapons and vehicles but simplifying the experience to make an wide open arcade fps action game.

maybe i should have just said modern weapon shooter

I''m still getting over the fact that Soldner turned out to be teh suck. I has such high hopes for that game.

Soldner was released? I completely missed that. For a long time I heard great things about it. I have to look this up.

Söldner came out last summer. It was really plagued by bugs and the hardware requirements were quite demanding. According to a recent report the developer, Wings Simulations, suffered from the side effects of the publisher, JoWooD, being in financial trouble. Meaning, low testing efforts on the publisher side, more and more tasks pushed to the developers themselves. A total overload. Too sum it up: a project far too ambitious for the resources available, which probably was released before it was really done due to the publisher wanting the title on the store shelves in time. A pity, at some point I was really looking forward to the game.

Later in 2004 they released a Gold version of the game over here - the state the game should have been in on launch day. And just last month JoWooD decided to close Wings. The add-on (Marine Corps) will be finished and released and once that''s done they''re going to release the dev tools for the mod community to play around with, but that''s it.

As for RB6: Lockdown - go, SWAT 4, go!

In our version of the Xbox game, enemies are highlighted with a white box that turns yellow when they spot you.

Virtua Cop anyone? Yay.
