Firefly - Love it!

Huh, I didn't know he was Sunny. I think Dutch had some of the best moments of Dark of the Moon.

No death at a funeral? Fail. Seriously, though, it's my favorite performance of his.

Stoned out of his mind on a roof, right?

I prefer with his head stuck in the hedges.

Those look like cardboard cutouts, hilariously enough.

It sort of looks like a picture of a picture, with some glare on it. That or it's a filter meant to make it look that way.

So I ran into most of the Firefly and Star Trek TNG crew during my weekend in Dallas because of the comic con. I was having drinks in the hotel bar when Jonathan Frakes (Riker) from star trek came in, then walked in Jewel Staite (Kaylee) and Sean Mayer (Simon) from Firefly. The actor and actresses who played Worf, Troy and Data from Star Trek arrived one by one and then finally Summer Glau (River) came in with her husband. So i'm at a table like 5 feet away freaking the f out because all my favorite actors are having a reunion in front of me. So after about 3 or 4 beers with my girl friend and the waitress bugging me to go say hi to some of them I worked up the courage and talked to Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner for a few mins and went back to my table and then they all took off to dinner. Then the next morning I get off the elevator to go the front desk and checkout and there is Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite, Sean Mayer and Ron Glass all in a group wait to get shuttled to the convention center. So I walked around them and end up in line behind Summer Glau to get checked out of our rooms. I was going to say morning to Summer but one of the hotel desk staff called the next person in line which was her before I could say anything. So that was a really fun weekend.

Awesome!

It's the way they all look so bored, staring off in entirely separate directions.

Excellent story, breander!

Just stumbled across the extended gag reel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mve...

(There's swearing, and not just in Chinese.)

The part that always kills me is Nathan near the end, in The Message. You'll know it when you see it, though its at the 8 minute mark if you wanna jump right to it.

Yes! That is my favourite as well!

He's being held up by some free lumber he found.

I wanted to make a joke, but Ron Glass is there too... unless Book was faking it. But then Mal strapped him to the front and center of the ship...

Is that Boston Comic-Con? Looks like where the celebrity photos were set up.

I'm guessing San Diego Comic-Con.

Been slowly watching this series on Amazon Prime. Holds up much better than a person might think. In some of the episodes they use things that look suspiciously like a version of a smart phone. I like it when little things like that will be forever consistent.

I don't know when that was, but that picture is adorable... even if those girls might be a little young for Firefly.

Almost definitely Boston, she was a guest there, but wasn't at SDCC.

Yeah the convention center at SDCC doesn't have that many pillars.

That's because SDCC's roof is held up by it's lofty view of itself.

So you've been there?

Star Wars Rebels on DisneyXD is essentially the SW version of Firefly in my experience with the 60 min movie that aired this past week. Regular 30 min episodes start next week.

Yup, it totally has a Firefly feel, and I can't help but feel that's intentional, since the Browncoats were also rebels.

What age do y'all think is the youngest appropriate for this show? My daughter is five, and I'd love to watch the movie with her, but she may not be ready for people shooting each other, etc. She mainly watches kid stuff like Daniel Tiger and The Cat in the Hat. We play a ton of Mario Kart, Super Mario 3D World, and Lego Marvel.

I'd probably say 13 for the movie.
