So, why'd you pick your little GWJ forum picture?

This man is a genius.

Mine is my half of my wedding cake topper, which are Lego versions of my wife's and my Old Republic characters. Everybody's schedule lined up on May the 4th, so we decided to run with Star Wars as a reception theme. It also served as a convenient excuse to spend way too much money on Lego sets so we could get all of the pieces we needed. I painted my cybernetics and her Zabrak facial tattoos on myself.

I was tired of the old one, and deleted it for awhile (I tried Grumpy Cat for a bit, but it was a downer to look at all the time.) Then I saw an Ars Technica article about the monkey that took a selfie and the ensuing copyright controversy. (upshot: nobody owns the copyright, because the monkey took it, and monkeys can't hold copyright.)

So, A) freely usable picture, and B) very funny. Voila!

I always thought your pic was of Charlie Day, but that guy is pretty awesome too.

It's a SpaceDog!

'Cause I'm gay, and somehow that fact is still novel to me, even though I'm pretty sure everyone around me is tired of how much I refer to that fact.

Uh, ANZAC Stan, hello.

That sounds amazing. Have you got some other pics you could share?

My sister was tickled that she managed to have her wedding on May 4th, but there wasn't anything themed.

Nah, it's great to hear actually (I really like that avatar.) Dark Souls on the other hand...

My first avatar was a Bruce Timm drawing of the Hulk and it was more about my admiration for Bruce than the Hulk. I do like the idea of the Hulk using his massive green fingers to type on a keyboard and commenting thoughtfully on various subjects (as, apparently, do others)

Having tired of the original Hulk image but being tied to him through my choice of tag (classic mistake) I searched through just about every image of the Hulk on the internet to find this new one. I like it because he's calm and looks a little battered but unbowed. I have others images I also like but this one has grown on me and I'm probably going to stick with it.

Gasp!

I changed mine to reflect my new name and most favorite fictional sassy necromancer.

Because it was time for something new, and because I enjoy hanging around in interesting places.

My avatar used to be a neon Kansas Jayhawk which I use all over the internet, but here I felt bad about it because it seemed like I was stalking Jayhawker. I tried to think of something else that was at least somewhat related to me. I study koryu, and in my ryu Takaji Shimizu is one of our ancestors, so voila. I wanted to use Muso Gonnusuke but sadly there are no photos of him.

Mine is picture of my head in a jar from Futurama. Not only does it mean I love the show, but it symbolizes that deep down I also hope never to die. In fact, it scares me!

The face was made from the Simpsonize yourself web site back from when the movie released. The jar image I stole from Google Images and combined them with my phat Photoshop skillz.

I have this weird thing (vanity?) about making cartoon avatars of myself. (The dirty secret is that it's quite easy. Just throw glasses and a goatee on anything and it will resemble me.) I also have avatars for Lego, Mii, Xbox Live, PvZ, South Park, Family Guy, and the Simpsons. Maybe I should start rotating them in.

Mine is a vegetable that looks like my head. Need I say more?

If people are going to carve vegetables in the shape of your head you've got to use them. To not do so would be churlish.

Mine is biographical.

I finally decided after almost six years that it was finally time to change things up, so my new avatar is a picture of me with a dragon tattoo on my face that I got on a daddy/daughter date night. It's the same as my Twitter profile, so that I might maximize the synergistic capabilities of my social media strategy.

I uhh ... am not really sure. I think it was just a random picture I found and said "hey, that will work and is slightly weird". I've had the pic for quite some time now. I should change it up but that's no fun.

Homard = Lobster in french. I'm not french, but I golf with a bunch of french guys. *begin acadian french accent: I fish da homards.

You got stabbed through the chest?

What game is that from, btw? It looks familiar but I can't place it.

Yeah but your new one I confuse with KingGorilla all the time when I am reading through a thread. It is the similar color scheme/layout.

I just played a lot of Might and Magic III. It was a button I used a lot in that game :).

I enjoy lacrosse.

I have a few pictures, but I need to figure out the best way to post them. I've got one shot of the cake topper sitting in my DropBox; let's see if that works.

One of the best things about doing the Star Wars reception: this past May we went out to brunch on our first anniversary, and all the specials at the restaurant were Star Wars themed. So we got to celebrate our anniversary with our reception theme with absolutely no effort on our part.

I've been meaning to change it for a while and this thread reminded me. Pretty picture of my tractor against the sunrise.

Because it goes with my tag, which is an oblique reference to Berserk via Clerks. And I effing love Berserk. One of my early projects that got me some recognition in certain circles of the Internet was an affectionate fan parody of the 90's TV series, and I'm currently giving the same treatment to the movies.

I thought that was a tennis ball.

It's a hip. With hipster glasses. Gaming.

Edit: Deleted for bad idea. Nuthin' to see here.
