Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition - All Consoles - Who's playing

Is that a mantra? Lol

Preach brother!

I would love to join up for some ps4 D3. I'm importing my character from 360.

PSN: chuuka

I'm 42 and have one ps4 friend so please add me!

Thanks. Chad

Just bought this damn game for the third time. I'll be in my bunk on Xbox One.

Is the character import a one-off process which you do when you first start the next-gen game or is it something which you can do whenever you want? I still have a lot left to do in my PS3 copy so I'm wondering if I need to be 100% done with the PS3 version before I port, or if I can port characters over one at a time to my eventual PS4 copy. What about if I start a new character on the PS4? Will I still be able to import my PS3 characters later?

Thanks to anyone who can provide the answer. They're probably stupid questions but I've been burned by fussy save imports before.

Just got back from a rage-inducing trip to Walmart (the only "video game store" in town...) where my feeble attempts to procure a copy of D3 UEE and an HDMI cable for xbox360 were thwarted by ignorant and/or lazy customer service reps. "It's probably somewhere in these boxes, it will be put out sometime today" and "if it's not on the rack, we don't have it" were the sales pitches I heard. I left the electronics department discouraged, but still on a mission. I needed to procure $31.25 in cash to send to school with my son in order to cover meals for away Football games, which a meager purchase and a simple cash back option should have taken care of... except it didn't. I grabbed a giant bag of Reese's/KitKat mix and headed to the checkout (as it is known that chocolate heals all wounds), where I was informed after making my purchase that my only option of receiving my $40.00 cash back was in the form of 2x $20.00 bills.

The thing that really pushed me over the top was that a lady who checked out 2 spots in front of me forgot her laundry detergent on the bag/packing carousel. It wasn't noticed by the cashier until I was checking out, at which point the cashier said, "Hope she comes back for it *shrug*". I was able to catch her in the parking lot and inform her of the situation, which she thanked me for and explained that she would've been pissed off had she forgotten it.

"Not as pissed off as I am right now", was my reply.

TL;DR: SHOULD HAVE PRE-ORDERED, 1st world problems, Walmart sucks

Added to my favorites, but I'm playing on the 360, don't have a next gen console yet.

I have built a playername spreadsheet and have columns for all consoles. Go ahead and add yourself or send invites to others playing on your console.

GWJ D3 player list

No longer just next gen.

I know there is a master spreadsheet with a ton of usernames but that can be tough to use if you just want to add some folks to play with.

I bought this on Xbox One. Tried to play a little WoW this morning and Battle.net is down for several hours. I'm wondering it that will affect next gen consoles.

So how does it play guys...?

According to Facebook, some genius decided today would also be a good day to give away Mists of Pandaria, I'm guessing that has something to do with it being down too.

Out for delivery...

When you import your save it warns you that it will erase any current progress in your new game - so definitely a one time deal. Brings all characters, stash, gold, and crafting progress. Note that you will have to Export first from your PS3 game. I'm pretty stoked that I was able to transfer all my progress from the 360 to PS4.

The character import feature - so smart of them to announce this close to release - is the thing that will likely tip me towards buying this next month after PS4 Destiny bundle arrives. That and I do really like the gamepad controls. I will be a full month behind the community on grinding but seeing as I have the whole shebang on PC and the 360 version already, a slightly longer breather from Diablo-anything isn't such a bad thing.

Xbox tag: Maclintok
PSN ID: TBD (but most likely will be Maclintok)

I played for about an hour last night. It's great, I started on Expert which seemed a bit tough with no equipment. So far I haven't noticed a huge difference from my time in Diablo 3 original on PC. The controls are tight I much prefer a gamepad for these types of games than a mouse and keyboard. I also didn't notice any framerate issues, but i'm generally not very sensitive to that stuff. I messed around with remote play a bit this morning and it works amazingly well.

I wish there was a demo like the original D3 on the consoles.

Home for the day, waiting for UPS.

I'm in PS4 and XBONE if anyone has a unused preordered code. I preordered PS4 but forgot the XBONE. SpyNavy on both.

I found a super cool new feature that i don't remember seeing on the PC (though I havent played the PC version in a few months so maybe they added it).

Anyway, i looted 2 legendaries and both times it gave me a gift for one of my friends. The first was labeled Stric9 and the other was for Mossybrew(AcidCat). I went into my inventory and they were under my gift bag, I clicked x to send them and away they went. It specifically said they were legendaries so I can only assume they were copies of the ones I found. The one I found that went to Stric9 was a 2hand axe and the one to acidcat was a mace if they match.

I'm Rainsmercy on Xbox360 if anyone wants to add me.

Sweet!

Cobble - have you added me as a friend - I cant remember is Im SpyNavy or SpyNavy94

I just sent an invite to just SpyNavy, its definitely you. it mentions GWJ in your info

Awesome thanks - I sit here waiting for my nemesis, the UPS guy.

I have to wait till I leave work at 5 to get it, then once I get it home, I have to wait till when my wife isn't playing it as technically I'm buying it for her for weekends when I'm at renaissance festival...

I really want console parity because it means better games and a better service via healthy competition for all of us but this is disheartening

What!?!? That is awesome, if PSN had a best friend tag you would totally get it right now. Also I remember this being mentioned as a new feature for the console version. So take that PC players!

Only if we blow it out of proportion.. If it's not impacting the "Fun" level then why should it matter.. are Xbox One players somehow having less fun playing Diablo 3? I havent experienced this game directly but in every game I've played on PC even on my monster systems I have experienced frame rate drops.. and for the most part many of my favorite console games were not locked at 60fps and I still had a blast playing them.

I still feel the console disparity this generation is less about power and more about the $100 price difference and Microsoft's launch mess. That and for the most part the average consumer still associates console gaming with Sony and Nintendo and not Microsoft.

But I wouldn't worry about Microsoft.. last I checked they can completely tank this generation and still come out next round guns blazing.. that's a luxury Sony could not afford given Microsoft's strong balance sheet and cash reserves as well as their rather limited reliance (aka none at all) on the console division for profitability.

Now will the board (and shareholders) allow such a move? I guess it would depend on the AAA console space as a whole in 5 years and just how successful (or not) the Xbox One ends up. If the market is still attractive then I could see Microsoft giving it another strong go around.. if not then I would guess we would be down to Sony and Nintendo.

A shame really.. I was far more interested in Microsoft's original "diskless/sharing" vision of the platform.. Parity to me ends up beneficial to none and really then devolves competition down to "shenanigans"

After the 360, I'm not too sure about that. I agree with pretty much everything else you said.

I was told this by a Microsoft executive based on their own internal market research about ~2 years ago. Not something I would doubt given it came from Microsoft directly and who would admit to something that was "bad" and then make it up. Granted he was actually pleased they scored as high as they did lol so in that "bad" is all relative.

I'm sure they moved up a few points since then but they were considerably behind.
