I LOVE IT!!!! Make more of this!
Great work! I had completely forgotten this was a reward and was a great surprise to see in the feed last week. Really well done, and I liked that the story didn't try to slot itself into the events of the game. It really felt like something you'd expect to read about in the game or in audio diary as a way to add texture to the world.
I hope we get something like this again down the road, although it must've taken a lot of effort to do. Completely understandable if it doesn't happen again for a while
I agree with this idea!
This was terrific. Maybe I will finally get around to playing Infinite, but Dark Souls 2 DLC dropped today so... it will get pushed back another week.
I can't pinpoint exactly what it was, but I had some pleasant flashbacks to the beginning of Neuromancer. Perhaps the mood and tonal atmosphere.
The acting and sound was superb. Very professional!

Oh wow, just WOW!!! I just listening this morning and this was absolutely AMAZING!!! Can we have another? Seriously, we need to have a donation drive especially for GWJ radio plays. It was so great, the sound was incredible, the acting was just perfect (have to give a shout out to Karla, you basically outshone everyone else as Violet, no joke), and it just felt too short, I was craving more!!
Please sir, may I have another?
This was pretty great! Excellent work from everyone on the cast, and everyone else who helped put this together! I haven't played Bioshock Infinite, but now I kinda want to.
I would be very interested in a postmortem discussion of the project by everyone involved...
Currently playing: Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS5), Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered (PC)
Ooh, yes. I like that idea!
Words... are a big deal.

Late to the party, but I've been sitting on the play so far because I haven't yet played Bioshock Infinite (though I think it's next on the pile right now).
Will the radio play spoil any parts of the game? And is the enjoyment of the play enhanced by or even dependent on actually knowing the universe of Columbia?
Or to think of it the other way, will the radio play serve as a good intro to the game?

Radio play touches on characters and themes, but no real game plot spoilers. I think you'd be ok.
As an intro to the game world ... hmmm. I think the play makes more sense if you play the game first, really.

Very well done! I'd love to hear more of these in the future.
Lysias, I haven't played the game, and I still really, really enjoyed it, because it was well written and well acted. I do have a passing notion of the universe, having played half of Bioshock and listened to game podcasts (like the GWJCC, essentially), but that's about it. Certainly didn't feel spoiled, for sure.
I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this. Just brilliant, all the way around. The music and sound effects are perfect, the acting and writing very believable. I was transported to Columbia for a great little side story. LOVED IT!! Mad props to everyone involved!

This was freaking awesome! Thanks for all the hard work everyone!
I know it has been said already, but FANTASTIC job to all involved! You all really nailed the Bioshock atmosphere and universe, and the music and sound effects were great. I grin every time I hear a voxophone/audio diary click on.
I hope there is another radio play in the stretch goals for the donation drive this year (I can't wait to give you my money, by the way).

Just listened to it again to celebrate reaching this year's goal to get another radio play.
Verdict...

Yup, still very, very good.
I hadn't mentioned it in my previous posts, but I also think Ian Dorsch did an awesome job with the music. It just fits the atmosphere so perfectly, and towards the end, it picks up and adds to the sense of urgency and all around omg-whats-gonna-happen.
Congrats everyone, and looking forward to the second installment!
This is a great idea.
