RUSH

Oh that's great! For some reason I'd forgotten about that. Now that i read it I do remember this.
Again, I didn't mean to call anyone out and I'm happy to hear I am wrong.

I be caught red handed for not reading far enough! Thanks!

You're dead to me!

I'm just happy your connection was not one of affected, effected, afflicted?
never mind.

:/

Rush is being inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame tonight, anyone know if there's a place you can catch the ceremony online outside the US?

The R&R Hall of Fame Inductees are coming to Ottawa again and I will be there tomorrow! WOOT!
I have assigned seating due to the short stature of my wife who, in a festival-style venue would not fare well with standing people.
I convinced her that we needed to get he more expensive seats that have assigned seats, reserved bathrooms and private bar for 300 people.

She agreed and now tomorrow we GO!

Of course Rush did not disappoint. The set list was 1/3 new stuff from the Clockwork Angels album. The rest was a mishmash of tunes from all over. The encore included a piece of 2112. The seats I had were great. I was stage-left about 15 feet from the edge of the stage.

Here is the set list
Set 1:
Subdivisions
The Big Money
Grand Designs
Limelight
The Analog Kid
Where's My Thing?
(including drum solo)
Far Cry

Set 2: (with Clockwork Angels String Ensemble)
Caravan
Clockwork Angels
The Anarchist
Carnies
The Wreckers
Headlong Flight
(including drum solo)
The Garden
Red Sector A
YYZ
The Spirit of Radio
(without ensemble)

Encore:
Tom Sawyer
2112 Part I: Overture
2112 Part II: The Temples of Syrinx
2112 Part VII: Grand Finale

My minion sometimes works the concession stand at local venues as part of his son's swim club.

He was working during the concert of boy band "Big Time Rush" and reports that a group of marines drove an hour up from Fayetteville with tickets, thinking that they were coming to see Rush. Minion claims they actually got refunds. (Who's going to refuse a group of angry marines?)

What the hell were a group of marines thinking that Big Time Rush was Rush. What kind of fans were they?!

Gah.

They should have been forced to watch the show and NO REFUND FOR YOU

In all seriousness, i hate getting Jennifer Rush and Big time Rush results when I am looking for RUSH info.

Semi-cross post from the vinyl spin all thread. Found some pretties at the used record store today:

Can't wait to listen to 2112 on vinyl! I've wanted to do that for ages.

Nice!

It's a glorious thing.

Did anyone check out their R&R Hall of Fame acceptance speech? It was most excellent.

Though I have a question for those that have seen them recently. Geddy Lee's voice seemed to be really rough for the set they played at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Was that an isolated incident or is his voice going after all these years?

I did NOT see this coming: Tom Hanks to play Neal Peart in the upcoming movie Moving Pictures, The Rush Story.

I'm going to go ahead and pick Sean Penn to play Geddy!

This is just surreal, I'm so excited and still it's 2 years away.

Quick edit: that may have been a troll site, and I may have gotten my hopes,up for nothing...

We like to get stoned and make this sh*t up. NONE OF THE STORIES ON THIS SITE ARE REAL NEWS! We f*cking made it all up. Grow a set and shut your piehole.

That was my first clue... But I'll keep researching just to make sure...

(Nothing to see here folks)
