JAJAJA

SISISI?

*phew*

This is the first week that my match-up in the fantasy pool has been close, partially because I forgot to get Burning in before the string of DK v Newbee matches started this week. videohead gave me a run for my money, but I was able to pull back ahead by the end of the week.

Hissssssss.

Is anybody do the favorite hero thing and if so, is it working for you? I played two games on my hero today and I couldn't get any graphs during the second game. Just the arrows that show whether your gpm is better or not.

I have a bunch of extra cards for the compendium:

Era
MiSeRy
Resolut1on
AdmiralBulldog
xiao8
ARS-ART
Ohaiyo

I'll be willing to trade for any of the following, but in all honesty, what I really want is EG:

Alliance
Loda
Akke
EGM

Cloud9
EternalEnvy
SingSing

EG
Arteezy
Universe
Zai

Fnatic
NoTail
Fly

I'm not going to bother listing the rest for now.

Ha! Calibration complete. Lost my first five games in a row. Won my last five in a row. Knew I was bad, but didn't think it was quite this bad.

Spoiler:

1641

Something something trenches something potato league

Dotabuff

Ha that sounds a bit like my callibration.

I've found that that bracket is hit and miss. if I get stuck with people who don't know how to last hit, it's an awful game that I lose.
If I get team members who communicate it's a fun experience and we win!
Hopefully I'll improve enough to be able to help win even the ones with sucky team members.

I think I'm hovering between 1.7-1.8k...

Totally willing to coach.....to coach...

Would people be interested in some discussion on the compendium predictions? The purpose would be to get multiple opinions on some of the trickier predictions and to help inform newer folks.

A compendium update got released with a bunch of things including weather effects. Also Valve decided to only give snow to all compendium owners, with moonlight and rain given to level 65 and 120 owners. Reddit has pretty much exploded in outrage.

I've also "graduated" from playing co-op against bots to actual games. I say "graduated" because so far the people I've played with and against are generally worse than hard bots.

Edit: Aaaaand Valve nixed the weather tiers and gave all three to every compendium owner. That was fast.

They've been in rare form lately with the whole Fnatic business and expecting Valve to somehow magically get CIS visas.

Hard bots don't mess around when it comes to last hitting and denying which people at my level (currently 2.6K-2.7K) regularly can't/don't want to do. And, they perfectly chain-stun every time.

I would take you up on that, but I'm in Australia, and the time zones don't really work out in anyone's favour

14 hours or so difference. Late night doto for me, early afternoon for you. Or late morening for me, late night for you.

Maybe on a weekend. On USW.

Ugh, I'm selling that pudge courier ASAP. It's odious.

The weather effects are glorious. Snow is what you'd expect, but Rain is pretty slick (no pun intended.)

Moons pretty good too, and fantastic at night. All and all a good job.

LT SQUAKINS IN A FLYING BOAT.

that is all.

I would, as I am fairly lost when it comes to those -- mainly just lack of time. I went with datdota's picks for the qualifiers and ended up scoring mediocre at best.

datdota had pretty much the best info possible... Imo everything over ~60 points is pure luck, lot of the answers are impossible to know from statistics alone.

Yeah I did too and managed 40/100 I think. But some of the winners were totally out of left field. It might be best just to see what heroes are played the most competitively and pick them.

For those looking for some help with their compendium predictions, datdota has posted their misc. picks. http://www.datdota.com/blog/?p=697#m...

My gut guesses weren't far off from what the data suggests. I still haven't played in two weeks though. Who knew there were other games out there.

The hero specific predictions post is on joinDota. I hadn't really considered that they're asking for highest average on a lot of the questions when I made my initial guesses so I had to change my kills and assists picks (although, oddly, I did figure that into my picks for last hits and GPM).

Just a heads up, wild card winner predictions close in a little over 4 hours. The playoff predictions and top six picks close in 28 hours.

Welp.

TI4 starts today! Hype?

Reddit post with all the details: http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/wiki/e...

This is just staggering:

1st: $4,799,303+ (46%)
2nd: $1,408,491+ (13.5%)
3rd: $991,160+ (9.5%)
4th: $782,495+ (7.5%)
5th/6th: $625,996+ (6%)
7th/8th: $495,580+ (4.75%)
9th/10th: $46,950+ (0.45%)
11th/12th: $36,516+ (0.35%)
13th/14th: $20,867+ (0.2%)
15th/16th: $0 (0%)

I forget if valve seeded the prize pool or if it started at zero, but if $2.50 of every $10 went to the prize pool that means Valve made another $30 million on compendium sales.

They probably could have picked a better name for the newcomers stream than dota2ti_noob.

It starts at $1.6 million.

It's 11 o'clock, where's my damn Dota? I'm going though Dota stream withdrawal because nobody's been streaming for, like, a week. I watched a LoL stream this weekend. A LoL stream.
