iOS Games Thread Catch All

Correct. New players only.

I'm probably missing something obvious, but I don't see where I can add a friend using the friend code. It looks like the friend codes are maybe only used for inviting people to play the game, not friending people who are already playing?

Correct, I need new suc.....err....players in order to get the special cards. But if you search for Cragmyre we can become friends and I'll start sending you slimes

The Dragon Quest 8 iOS port is not too shabby. No voice over work, but the music is still there. It runs pretty well. I gave in to the high $20 price because I didn't quite finish this back in the day (2011, yeah I was late too) and I absolutely loved it then.

Thanks Merphle for helping out with Guardian Cross! That got me the 4 star card. Now only 4 more people to get the 5 star card

Get a code for a free copy of Deus Ex: The Fall at IGN:

Absolutely do this with no question. It's great!

Yay thanks! I heard this was a bit dicey on the PC, so I'm hoping it makes more sense on the original platform.

Oh now see, this sucks. "Not available in your country." No fair!!

Thank you for the heads up. Now only to find some free time to play it in I'm sure I'll think of something…

Surprisingly, I did not get this message this time.

+1 to the thanks train!

I'm looking for games/simulations for iPad or iPhone featuring planes, trains, cars or other vehicles that have a first person or "cockpit" view. My three year old is very fascinated with these things and I figured we could have some fun using airplay mirroring when we play in the tv room, but searching isn't proving to be my strongest skill today... Anyone have any recommendations?

For planes check out the Sky Gamblers series of games.

Maybe Toca Train? Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for.

I know it's June, but this code generator is still working. Wolf Among Us ep1 free:

FYI, IGN does a free game a month, so that's where these are coming from.

I was contemplating downloading this, as I think it would fit the format well, but then I remembered I already have this on PS3, and at $6.49 and episode, double dipping got a tad expensive.

So, just curious, anyone still playing Battleheart legacy?

My boys have liked F-Sim Space Shuttle. They've never successfully landed the shuttle, but they've had fun.

I am. Got a level 19 wizard/witch that I'm having a lot of fun with. There is a little grind since I'm repeating some areas to level up before I hit some higher level areas, but these areas are fun and quick to repeat that I don't mind. Having a lot of fun with it.

I got it and then deleted it and reinstalled Battleheart. I like it a lot better!

I kinda hit a wall on the last boss? I'll grind out a level in the arena every once in a while in the hope that I can just power through it with 3 more stat points, but I'm thinking my build is either suboptimal or there's something about my tactics that I'm not doing right.

I'm still playing Legacy. I've found the difficulty a bit high. If I go to a level 10 area, I shouldn't have to be level 13 to get through it without dying.

I've got a ranger with some ninja skills, but I don't think that's an optimal combination. Then I rolled up a rogue/ninja because I thought they would complement themselves better. They do, but I have too many skills and not enough slots and it's hard to decide between them. I've also got a pure wizard, and they are hard to skill up. I'm putting all my points into int and skl and still it sometimes takes two or three levels to get another skill. At level nineteen I still have the knight's power attack because I don't have anything else to replace it.

At some point I want to try a bard, and maybe one of those anti-Mage knights.

Not really: my Ranger/Theif has run out of new quests at level 14, and I loathe grinding through the one or two level appropriate areas. I really wish the game had more quests.

Looks like Tim Shaefer's Broken Age Kickstarter game just came out on iOS for $9.99. Might be of interest to Shaefer fans.
