Except Iron Man is more interesting. Since the shift to Batman as the Dark Knight, he's had as much depth of personality as Edward Cullen.

Wait... Batman sparkles in the sunlight? Is that why he only goes out at night? It all makes sense now!!

... and Joker is the other one.

Spoiler:

Yeah, I don't have a daughter or sophomore girlfriend, [insert person whose interested in the series here]... though I did work at a brick and mortar entertainment retailer during the period of the release of the second film. Team Edward and Team Werewolf, right? Or was it Jacob... oh, god... Now I need to know but I don't want to sully my pristine laptop by having to google it!!

That and Batman has been around for 25 years longer.

That just makes it sadder. But hey, at least the Arkham games have an incredibly combat system, right?

The biggest problem I have with Batman is that he is directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds (thousands?) because he won't kill the Joker. It sort of gets silly when you look at the numbers of deaths. Joker is free, kills lots. Batman beats up the Joker and throws him in jail. Joker heals, gets free, and kills lots. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Neat how you can do that thing in the tunnel from Men In Black.

Until they make you do it for a Riddler trophy which takes at least 60 attempts to do.

In every article I've read about Arkham Knight, the people from Rocksteady come off as having a real disdain for Arkham Origins, but I hope they take a look at how Warner Bros. Games Montreal handled Riddler trophies. They weren't nearly so frustrating or trial-and-error as many of the ones in Arkham City.

I haven't been reading many articles on the topic. Mind providing a link?

I don't have a specific article in mind. It's just a general sense I've gotten, but the next time I see something along those lines, I'll call attention to it.

The state has had plenty of chances to kill the Joker. Prosecution in Gotham really went to sh*t when Harvey left.

Delayed to 2015. Naturally.

Wow, seriously?

Quietly slipped into the end of a new trailer:

It's like no one actually asked Rocksteady if the game would be ready for this holiday before giving the initial target release.

I'd rather it be delayed and gotten right first time like, IMO, Asylum and City than be only an "8" (as per industry standard review score regulations). Honestly, I'm still not sold on the car mechanics/play - looks like a boring version of Burnout 2.

That's a shame as I preferred WB Montreal's character design, story, and puzzles. Arkham City is chock full of busywork with collectibles and Riddler trophies. I also prefer the combat in AO as it has the greatest variety and complexity.

So is this Saints Row Batman? That looks like a massive open world with lots of cool things to do. Man I really hope they do this well.

I remember the GiantBomb guys saying the same thing when they came back from seeing AK. Rocksteady refers to AK as the third game of the trilogy, that sort of stuff. WB Montreal's not fixing those glitches is a serious problem, but just in terms of game design, Rocksteady just comes off as childish if they're saying those things.

Seeing Batman maneuver Gotham in Arkham Knight has me feeling like this is the biggest Gotham we've seen so far. The dives off of buildings, the gliding, the driving, everything seems huge. Both awe inspiring and overwhelming. Not sure how I feel about it, but it's impressive.

I could tell there were other cars out, but wasn't certain if we're going to be seeing civilians or not.

That looks awesome, especially the Fear Takedown taking out an entire group of enemies. My only nitpick is that the Batmobile is more than a lane wide BEFORE expanding. How in the hell do I plan to drive it without causing massive collateral damage?

Why would you care?

One of the side games is leaving notes on the cars, "sorry for the damages, please call, 800-I-Batman."

Because I don't want the poors rising up against me.

Uh, I think you'll find Batman's parents are DEAD. What is massive collateral damage compared to THAT?

Oh, they fixed the gliding. Nice. (It was nerfed in Arkham Origins)

FYI they did fix the glitches eventually in Batman AO(my favorite of the series so far).

Man that AK gameplay video looks incredible. I can't tell you how excited I am to play it. I could try, but I don't think the enthusiasm will translate into print.

Hey, if they're taking the time to polish it up ...

My thoughts exactly. Bad comparison, but Watch Dogs felt like they took on too much. Even 6 months would have made that game significantly better. I would much rather play a well polished Batman game than a yearly launch (Assassin's, Madden, take your pick).
