Supernatural - Salt and Burn All

I'd say with the latest episode (19) the world is ending. Again.

Nah, it's the start of the end, I think. This season will likely (hopefully) end of a cliffhanger so much of season 10 can deal with it. We just watched the most recent episode tonight too, great stuff. Misha Collins did a great job directing too.

"Thaaaat came out wrong. So did that."

Trickster! Love the most recent episode.

I was so, so, sooooo happy to see Gabriel again, didn't realize I missed him so much. Great episode too. The one with Sherrif Jodi was pretty good too, but Meta Fiction was faaaantastic.

What the hell just happened?

It's what they call a stealth pilot. It's for a spin off series in the same universe as Supernatural, and that was a pretty terrible one.

With so few episodes left in the Supernatural season, that frankly hasn't been that great, to burn an episode on that. Ugh.

Yeah, I commented to Yellek that it felt like a pilot for a spin-off. I hadn't heard of anything like that coming for Supernatural though. I was just surprised.

On the scale of stealth pilots, it was better than the Bones spin-off for The Finder, which was abysmal. Spin-off episodes from NCIS and Criminal Minds at least gave the original characters more screen time than this one did.

*double take* what episode/season was the Bones spin-off?

I guess I'll look up "The Finder" out of...is morbid curiosity too much of a pun?

Ha!

It was sixth season. If you'd seen the episode, you'd remember it.

The wife and I rather liked the Finder.

Yeah, I'd rather watch The Finder than Bones, especially these days.

Yeah Bones has dropped off in quality big time.

Wow. That looks....

Wow.

That new show looks terrible.

Yep. Agreed.

So Dean just leaves a monster, in a city full of monsters, when he previously killed Kaylee for helping her sick child simply because she was a monster?

We're finally watching Bloodlines right now. Wow is most of it bad, with just a few moments that were okay.

Sigh, pretty much this.

What a waste of time, and I don't feel like I've wasted time with an SPN episode in years. Only thing salvageable was the male shifter, everyone else not Sam and Dean was terrible.

That Bloodlines ep was just big pile of dumb cliches.

Spoiler:

-Love interest gets the "Woman in refrigerator" treatment almost immediately. Also, there was an actual woman in a refrigerator.
-Ancient supernatural families secretly run everything
-Young monster just wants to live a normal life
-"We own the police"
-Grieving parent out for revenge
-Humans are the real monsters
-Mysterious missing parent secretly knows everything

Plus, the whole murderer plotline had barely any build-up and was resolved in seconds because they spent most of the episode introducing all these new characters.

I don't know what you people are talking about. There was no new Supernatural episode last week. Understand? THERE WAS NO NEW SUPERNATURAL EPISODE LAST WEEK!

Whew, according to TV guide's Facebook page:

But the network passed on Supernatural spinoff Bloodlines.

Thank. God.

Oh man they cancelled the Tomorrow People and believe it or not Star Crossed wasn't all that bad. I would have preferred Tomorrow People over Beaut and the Beast.

Awww, really? I liked all the beautiful people teleporting around.

Been working my way through this on Netflix. Am about halfway through season 3 (Hendricks just bit it and we saw Lilith for the first time). This show is awesome.

That episode is one of my favorites, and lead to my first tattoo!

And yeah, lots of folks upset about Tomorrow People. Few are surprised about B&B due to their rabid fanbase.

Heh, I have the same anti-possession tattoo the boys do. When I was debating what to get for my first tattoo, as soon as I saw that, I knew I'd found it.

That *is* a bad-ass tattoo.

I do love it, especially since I can tell non-fans I just liked the symbol and they'll be none the wiser.

I hadn't started on Tomorrow People. Worth watching or pass now that it's canned?
