Minnesota Board Game Night at Johnvanjim's - Friday, February 28th, 6:30 PM until late)

Let's see, both kids having a sleepover while a friend of the wife's and family come in from out of town, or go to your house for gaming.

Yeah, I'll be there.

and now unable to make it as the wife made plans for me.

Couldnt make it
What was played?

I'm bringing suburbia next time.

Good times were had, fun games were played! We managed to get in a game of Elder Sign, and survived the near awakening of an elder god (with no devourings or insanity!)

Then, we snuck in "Something Different" which was fun, but definitely needed some rules additions/clarifications layered on top of the existing ones from this Kickstarted property. It was a bit of a cross between Fluxx and your favorite drinking game. At one point, the rules indicated that everyone had to play with their elbows on the table, speak with an accent and compliment the person currently playing a card (lest they inevitably draw additional cards.) Good times, but it would have never ended had we not decided to create an arbitrary end point.

Lastly, we had a good time playing some Cards Against Humanity, with the newly instituted rules that everyone who was playing had to write up a new white card to contribute. Some were definitely off the "offensiveness charts" and thus fit in quite nicely (I'm looking at you Dan!)

Getting this back at the top of the forums; I'll be there with Suburbia, which the Board Game thread inspired me to purchase (it's really good).

Is it alright if I show up around 9? Going to see Robocop at the Eagan theater at 7, which is less than 2 hours, so would be 9/930 when I showed up. I have Dungeon Dice that I have been itching to play.

Wait for me! I'll be there ~7ish. I love suburbia. Did you get the expansion?

No, not yet.

Also, no, not yet.

Nope, won't be making it. Wife had a really bad day, so have to provide emotional support.

Thanks to everyone that came in February, it was a great night with many games hitting the table.

We had a mega game of Last Night on Earth / Invasion From Outer Space hit the table; zombies, carnies and Martians ran amok and all was grand!

On the opposite side of the table, a lively game of"X" was going on. I'd never heard of the game prior to that night, but based on the non-sequiturs coming fast and hard from the people playing, it definitely piqued my curiosity.

Finally we snuck in some Suburbia (awesome game!) and some Netrunner to round out the evening.

Also, someone left a sharp looking scarf, so if you're missing one, I've got it for ya!

So that's where the scarf went . . .

Wound up with the expansion to Suburbia a few days after I played Indy's. Like the base game, the expansion makes it even better.

We started the night off with a little Rampage. Monsters running amok in a small city with flick/blow/drop physics as a major part of gameplay. (Heck, any game that has Sr. Citizens meeples can't be that bad.)

Bruges hit the table after that, while the mega game of Zombies/carnies/martians was wrapping up. IMAGE(https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-g6m2uAKzad0/Ux8xbhA7ZnI/AAAAAAADGyo/PKox-CB8rXQ/s400/018.JPG)

Dan, I can drop it off for you if you like, just let me know.

Can do; it's such a long drive. Should be free at some point this weekend. Let's talk about it on Titanfall.

Pilot, your scarf will be ready in two minutes.

Just a reminder, this is coming up tomorrow night. I'll have your scarf pulled Dan, and I've got my new copy of Myth (Kickstarted) all set up for a fully co-op dungeon crawl, if people are interested.

Was told we are going to a movie tonight by the missus, so the rare Rainsmercy sighting will continue to be rare

I'll get there later probably; the wife and kids were out of town for a few days, and they'd probably appreciate me not running off right when they get back. 9-ish or so I'd guess.

I am the thread ressurector; I saw an email, but didn't see any updates here. We're on for tonight?

Yep, tonight's a go! Sorry I haven't been able to swing by the site as often anymore, due to new work filters. *sighs* See y'all this evening!

And of course I will be out of town till late Friday night for work, sigh.

I'll be there.

after a few month hiatus, I'll try to make it over as well

And another bump for posterity. Friday night is the night, 6:30 onwards. I promise Air conditioning (if needed), pizza, beverages, games and fun. If you need directions, shoot me a PM, hope to see ya there!

Side note: I've got the new co-op deck-builder game (Galactic Strikeforce) coming from the guys who made Sentinels of the Multiverse arriving the night of the event, so there's that!

Gonna have to call off June's, Strep B kicking my ass; have some fun in the sun and hopefully we'll see ya in July.

No bueno, take care of yourself, hope you feel better soon!

And, another month goes by and we're back in the game.. (er games?) Friday night,6:30 PM until late; if you're looking to beat the heat and rain and have some fun, swing on by!

My sister is getting married this weekend, so I won't be present. I'll see if someone at the rehearsal dinner wants to play Mage Wars

In-laws are in town, haven't been able to make it in quite a while, doesn't look like that is going to change soon, at least not this month

Didn't think I'd be able to make it, but looks like I probably will.

Bump for a reminder that this is coming up on Friday; if you're interested in playing some games then swing on by!

Should be able to make the long drive to your house this Friday.
