Plants Vs. Zombies Catch-All

should we be making a garden warfare catch-all, or is that considered part of the "all" of this catch all? wanted to find some folks to play with tonight...

I'm playing now if anyone wants to join - KrebNi on XBL

As someone who hasn't played it- seems like it would deserve it's own thread, but I guess that depends on how much others find to talk about the game. No use creating a thread for 3 posts- no reason for it not to have it's own thread if it's going to be at least a few pages.

Well I fully intend on getting this. Seems like besides some of the Battlefield like MP, I can also play couch-coop horde mode with my son in a much more acceptable environment for kids than GoW.

Playing it now - it's fun and refreshing!! I like that it's so colorful, zany, and yet the mechanics seem solid and there's a lot of incentive to unlock each class and to get the little star challenges completed to level up your class. Also, I don't know if it's just because it's the first night, but I usually get hammered on multiplayer shooters and I'm actually doing ok (for my standards...)

I am having a lot of fun with this on XONE. I haven't yet tried the smartglass integration, but hope to convince my non-gaming wing-person (my wife) to give it a whirl.

Sure are lots of marketing-style adjectives in a short space, there.

Whatever, I'd say it is pretty accurate. Having a blast with my 6 y/o.

yea... i wish they gave me $$ to say that....

So is anyone else getting this? Tried to play it couch co-op with my 8 & 10 year old last night but they would not relinquish a controller. Really fun game and great FPS for those put off by COD. At least it appeared to be... hopefully I'll get a chance. Oh I have the X1 version. This may need a new thread....

As one who likes to see patterns where they may or mat not exist, the fact that those playing the game do not feel it deserves it's own thread (or haven't been interested in starting one) is a possible sign at just how far down the off-beaten path this title has been relegated.

Well, there's also the fact that talk on the previous two games has pretty well died down, so it's not like you're distracting from the original purpose of this thread. If PvZ2 were to get some huge update tomorrow and the cross-chat about the two games was getting annoying I could see starting a new thread, but as it is, I think it's fine having the Garden Warfare talk here.

So anyone want to get a game going on X1 tonight? Have not ventured beyond couch co-op split screen (and got booted by my kids again). For some reason my accuracy is terrible. Not that makes this different than other games...

I'd be happy to hop into a game. I want try it out with some people on a team.

Made a Garden Party catch-all here.

Well it's only taken about 9 months, but the Far Future stage for PvZ 2 is nigh

Still no PC, Steam or Kindle version? Bah!

Any word on whether Android users will get the new content day-and-date, or did Apple back up another money truck?

The iOS version updated today with the new content, but according to the launch trailer it sounds like the Google Play store should have it too now.

That's almost to make me wish I still had PvZ2 installed on my phone. It was a tough call, oddly-for some reason I'm not sure of, but I ultimately decided that the space was more important than the possibility that I might one day want to play it again.

My PVZ2 just patched automatically, so.. probably?

The patch notes say that Zen Garden is back, though I haven't booted it up yet to see what they've done with it.

So the update is indeed out for Android.

The Zen Garden is interesting. It's full of hooks for you to spend real money, but it's usable without it. Seeds and gems (a new form of currency) now drop randomly. You plant the seeds in your Zen Garden; you can get any plant you've unlocked, plus Marigolds, which give you extra gold.

Once a plant is full-grown, it acts as a one-time boost for the plant of that type. The next time you put that plant in your lineup, it will gain the "Plant Food" effect immediately upon being planted, every time you plant a new one, for that level.

Gems can be used to speed up plant growth or to buy new slots in your Zen Garden so you can have more growing at once. Zen Garden seeds randomly drop far faster than gems, so gems are the limiting factor.

So the Zen Garden has an actual gameplay use now? That's neat.

As a nice change my coins seem to be increasing instead of decreasing since the new content was added. They added some interesting new stuff.

For Gold Members the PvZ games are on sale on Xbox Live. Garden Warfare for Xbox One is 25% and for 360 it is 33% off. The original PvZ is 75% off on 360.

And still no PC/Steam version?

Ridiculous!

Yup. I really want this on PC. I've almost completed all four world on my iphone, but far out, I just want it in a nice big screen, all the plants and none of those stupid IAPs!

EDIT: just in case you were talking about something different, I was referring to Plants vs Zombies 2.

I was too.

Garden Warfare finally coming to PS4 in August. Me and my son have been having so much fun with the 360 version, I just may double-dip.

For anyone who doesn't have the original game for PC (and possibly Mac?) it is free on EA's Origin "on the house" thingy. At least it was earlier today when I was getting Battlefield 3 on there. This might be old news, but I don't remember seeing it mentioned before. And of course there is the whole Origin thing to deal with, but free eh…
