Random thing you love right now that doesn't deserve its own thread

Wow, and I thought I was the one with an itchy forum trigger finger! Look at you guys

It's not everyday you come across a quadruple post. This is a special occasion.

Thanks, Flix Brewhouse. I was skimming my email, and mistook a pipe character for a comma, and got all excited for "Noah, The Jerk".

Lord loves a workin' man, don't trust whitey, see a doctor and get rid of it.

I love that these guys are still kicking ass and taking names after god knows how many years.

True that! I fondly remember listening to their early albums (Tres Hombres, Deguello, Fandango) with my Dad in the living room on his kick-ass stereo system when I was a kid in the late 70s. So yeah, those three guys have been doing this for 40+ years. Much respect.

Saw this on the news this morning:

Hah! That's awesome!

Really good day so far today. Met with a friend I haven't seen in ages and played several games of Magic the Gathering (I won most of the games XD). While I was at the game shop waiting for him to get there, I was talking with the guy that owns the place (I've known him for several years as well) and he out of the blue asks if I'd be interested in interviewing for an internship.

A little while later his assistant manager interviews me, and about 20 minutes after that they offer me the internship. It's only like one day a week for store credit, but it could (and probably will) eventually grow into a full position. I'm not 100% sure what I'll be doing, but almost surely part of it will be organizing cards, displays, inventory and such. This is pretty high up there on the list of jobs I've always wanted to have - probably only things higher would be professional voice actor or novelist.

On top of all this, we're having homemade pizza pockets for dinner tonight.

dhelor you get the highest of fives.

That's fantastic Dhelor! You deserve a chance at a new job journey.

Well I know where my lottery winnings are going

You had me at "THE SMILE SHOT", KURATAS

Okay, that was dumb until the smile bit.

Plus it goes 5mph!

I'd totally buy one as well.

"The rocket launcher is eco friendly and safe for humans. It will occassionaly hit its target"

"The Kuratas also has a 6000rpm auto-tracking BB gun that will shred the face of anyone you smile at."

The Serenity comics.

I've had them for quite a while but finally caught up on reading through all of them. So. Freakin'. Good.

I'm OK with there being no more Firefly or Serenity as long as they keep making good comics with these characters. I can hear their voices in my head as I read it anyways.

I bought all the parts for my new PC today!

So here's a weird thing. One of the teachers I work with here in Greece has a brother who films documentaries when he can afford it, and commercials when he needs the money. At the last minute, he needed a voice actor for a demo of a commercial he was trying to sell. My teacher friend thought of me and my singing(a bit of acting), and asked me if I could help out. This was like a month ago now? An hour and a half of reading two versions of the same script, a buhzillion different ways. I did it as a favor, and was told the commercial was for the US, and the company had their own voice actor they liked for the real version.

It was fun. I haven't thought about it in a few weeks.

Just got a call. Apparently the company likes my voice better. They want me to re-record the voice over with a slightly modified script. It's like 40 seconds long. The guy here is renting a sound studio for an hour. I hope it's alright to say the amount, cause right now I LOVE that I'm going to get paid 200 euros to read a 40 second script, again and again, for an hour.

Dude.

If it all works out, and I find out if it's local or national or where it's going exactly...I'll let ya'll know.

I love that it's entirely likely we will come up with a million jokes based on this commercial that will haunt you forever.

But, congrats Roo, that's awesome!

Actually Cialis is a man-happy pill (ED). Valtrex (I think?) is the herpes stuff.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that Cialis is for herpes, I was just throwing out another possibility. I had just seen the following video.
