Cartoon watchers with jobs

My sister has just recently put me onto Avatar. I was vaguely aware of it for years but had no real interest. I love mako so it gets points for having him in it.

BEWARE TALES OF BA SING SE

(It's good, just hard for Mako and Iroh fans)

Just watched it. didn't pay much attention to the rest of the episode after the Tale of Iroh.

Tale of Iroh is the best part for sure. Although I am quite fond of Sokka's haiku rap battle.

Awww, Momo's adventure was just as heart wrenching.

May have to rewatch Momo's then.

We are in exactly the same place. i watched that and the episode after it last night! Once again, poor Iroh:(

Young Justice season 1 is on Netflix, so is the entirety of the Green Lantern animated series.
Also season 6 of Clone Wars, yes, that's right, look at that number carefully.

Batman Beyond is returning to tv.

The original show was great. I just hated the theme song.

Thankfully, the theme song was quick. I actually have the series on DVD. Is there any info other than this quick video?

I liked the theme song.

I liked the theme song too.
Regarding the Batman that Terry was fighting

Spoiler:

it looks like it's the android batman from the animated series, ep His Silicon Soul or maybe a copy who doesn't

Spoiler:

sacrifice himself to save humanity

Re-watched first season then finished watching second season of Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc. (netflix)
You know how sometimes you wonder if the cartoon makers were on weed? These guys were on pcp.

So really I only watched the live action show with Melissa Joan Hart and Caroline Rhea, but anyway,
how's Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch?

I started watching Clone Wars on Netflix. Hopefully whoever decided they should immediately follow a Jar Jar heavy episode with one with the bald Sith assassin lady got a huge performance bonus. In theory, I understand that everyone is someone's favorite character, but I have a hard time imagining who was clamoring for more adventures of C3PO and Jar Jar.

Also, it's pointless to mock Star Wars names, because you're never coming up with something worse that "Kit Fisto" (except maybe "Gape Fisto").

How about "Kit Fister?" Or "Gape Azhul?"

Holy crap, there is an entire series of animated spiderman I didn't know about, Spectacular Spiderman!

I only discovered it a few days ago (not through that link).

And related to my discovery, but Justice League Unlimited is apparently back on as reruns on Saturday morning on CW's Vortexx.
Even though new Saturday morning cartoons started sucking, at least they got good old ones.
How does it get better than TMNT and Winnie The Pooh?

You didn't know about the best adaption of Spidey on the screen? Well, lucky you! Enjoy its brief wonder.

This seems the best place to leave this:

All four seasons of Sealab 2021 are free to watch on the Adult Swim site.

That made it to four seasons? I wonder if that's where my love of "people insulting each other and doing dangerous, stupid things" was born, cause gosh I love Archer

Also, is it possible to discuss MLP:FiM here?

Sealab is great. I loved the episode where the entire episode is serious up until the very end.

lol
I see what you did there.

I should find these. A friend of mine from college is the voice of Sergei Kravinoff / Kraven the Hunter for a couple episodes somewhere. We were in the Men's Glee Club together, and three of us were the "extra low basses." This guy, though, was let's say the "lead singer" of hitting low notes that no one should be able to hit, and me and the other guy were his backup singers.

Guess I should find these myself.

Sealab is terrific for the first two seasons, then the voice actor of the captain passed away and the show became terrible.

Just started watching Young Justice with my kids. Man, is that a good show so far. I've been late to work twice because the kidlets asked for it when they woke up and I couldn't tear myself away to go shower.

Been watching Marvel's Avenger Assemble. I'm on episode 11 now. The show seems to be a continuation of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The first few episodes weren't all that good but the show is picking up steam as it goes on. Still not a must watch like Young Justice but still good. I think this cartoon is trying to get more in line with the marvel movie universe. I've seen some previews of later episodes and I wouldn't be surprise if that was story for the next Avengers movie.

Hmmm... maybe I should pay attention.

I am thinking about tracking down the 90's era X-men cartoon after seeing the latest movie... I am a sucker for the marvel stuff in general, although the Justice league cartoons (Justice League, Unlimited, and Young Justice) all got their hooks into me.

Just remember, it's animation from the 90's. There's a lot of brain-hurting stuff to see in that series, based on re-watching it on Netflix a year or 2 ago.

You guys have made me sad... :-/

Very few cartoons from my childhood have aged well at all. X-Men tried harder and was at least a little better than most, but was packed with some pretty awful melodrama and quite bad writing, and still ends up being pretty bad.

The only action/adventure type cartoon that's survived, for me, is Batman The Animated Series. Everything else I enjoyed as a kid that I've gone back to has been a huge nostalgia killer. Transformers, in particular, was just astoundingly bad.
