Good thoughts for Phoenix Rev appreciated

Regarding the coworker, just throw out a side comment sometime that you hope she doesn't mind that you used her coffee mug.

Good luck with the specialist. At least having answers will help deal with the issue.

Be really coy about 'what' you used it for also

Nice work Higgledy!

Great drawing!

Also My brother has been living with MS for the past 25 years or so. If you have any Q's I'd be happy to try to answer, IF this ends up being what it is.
I'm hoping it's just gas.

Huggies to you two!

It started out with a rather ignorant coworker recoiling and grabbing the hand sanitizer when I mentioned to her and a group of people that they think I have MS.

Ugh, I don't think I could've shown restrain, and probably would've remarked "it's not contagious, you moron." *facepalm*

"Hand sanitizer won't help, it's actually an airborne disease." Watch her flee the room in terror.

Ugh... when it rains, it pours...

Need some more good thoughts, but this time for Phoenix Rev's dad. He apparently fell and hurt himself, and in the process got a raging infection in his leg. He's in the hospital now, being taken care of. PR's stress levels are through the roof, so him, his Dad, his Mom, and pretty much everyone around him need some positive thoughts and/or prayers right now.

*sigh* 2013 can NOT end soon enough.

WTF? PR, I need a serious talk with God. You set up the meeting, and then go on your way... don't worry, I will be (slightly) respectful and well behaved.

I am so sorry you guys. Big hugs amd Hello Kitty sparklies to you!

QFMFT!

Good thoughts to you all.

Positive thoughts inbound. Hope Rev's Dad is on the mend soon.

f*cking A.

Sorry to hear it PR/Rubb.

Just imagine what'll happen when she learns he has The Gay.

Happy Thanksgiving. My cousin is in this pic. She is one of the balloon handlers.

Wow.

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving guys.

Good evening, all.

I noticed a comment by Nomad in the P&C forums regarding my health and had a PM about it as well, so I thought I would give a quick update here.

I have been in retreat mode for a while and not very active in posting because I have been overwhelmed with all of this, but here is the run down.

In five weeks, it will be one year since the first initial sign of the neurology problems started. However, there is still no formal diagnosis.

When I last posted, I was being evaluated for MS and had been going through multiple MRIs and other tests. What I expected to hear was either "You have MS and that is causing the headaches" or "You don't have MS so we don't know what is causing the headaches." What I heard, unfortunately, was "You have MS. Oh, and it has nothing to do with the headaches." That was two weeks ago.

With that, a spinal tap was ordered which will happen this coming Thursday. This will be to formalized the diagnosis of MS and tell me which flavor of MS it is and what type of treatment, if any, would be appropriate.

So, there is where we are with things. I am waiting for the results of the spinal tap and then will probably file for disability due to the pain issues continuing on and on. But, without a formal diagnosis, the bar is high for qualifying for the short term disability and then the long term disability.

Despite being a bit on the quiet side lately, please know that the Goodjer community is always in my thoughts and prayers.

I will post again post spinal tap (where I hope I get an "11" in the results).

I don't have anything helpful to say, but you're in my thoughts! Good luck with everything.

Thanks for the update, PR. You've been in my thoughts. If there's anything the community can do, please let us know.

I hope you get the result you need to qualify for short-term disability. I have my own neurological issues and it is scary not knowing what is going on and being told that they don't know either. Thankfully they finally figured it out, well kind of but I was able to manage based on what they diagnosed. I'm sending any spare cosmic energy your way and hoping for the best.

Ouch. Still not knowing about the headaches on top of that must be incredibly frustrating.

And yes, we're absolutely here to help however we can.

I have been thinking about you guys and wondering what was going on.

I send all the internet hugs the tubes can carry.

Best of luck, PR. Let us know if there's any way we can help.

And I totally missed the first quotation mark on the 11.

Maybe the first quotation mark was a mistake. /hopeful

...they still don't know? What the f*ck? Where's House! I need him on this case stat!

*big hugs*

Thanks for the update bro. Praying for you.

Hoping for some relief from the more than ample 12" of RubbEd eh?

Seriously though, thanks for the update. I have been wondering how you have been going, but didn't want to intrude incase the road travelled was bumpy enough, without further external pressure to share.

I keep you (and Rubb) in my thoughts constantly. It's not much, but I hope some of that 'cosmic energy' can find it's way to you in some form that is of benefit.

Also, let us know if 'things are tight' while you guys wait for the formal classifications regarding disability/benefits/concessions, etc. Pardon my ignorance in that regard. Being 'non-US' I have no idea how all this works, but from what I glimpse in general, the Health System over there isn't always 'patient centric' in it's handling of needs.

If we can collectively cover a few more prescriptions, travel, mileage, long distance calls, or anything like that, just let us know. You know we're always here for you guys.

Geez, stop short-changing me!

Things aren't hot for us collectively, but I've had an uptick in my luck. I started work at a really great company this week. It's officially a temp job, but they said in the interview they don't really like bringing anyone into the temp program that they wouldn't feel comfortable hiring later on down the road, so that's always helpful.

Money's still tight at the moment since I'm not getting my first paycheck for a couple of weeks, but that's life for you.

Both of us thank all of you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. It does mean a hell of a lot to us that you all would do that for, essentially, strangers. It says a lot about the community here, which does and does not surprise me.

*HUGS* all around.

Y'all are strange enough, but not so much strangers.

:*

I'm gonna say Rocky Road. Hopefully once they figure that out though they'll be able to remove the nuts and leave you with just the chocolately marshmallowed goodness.

Damn... now I want ice cream.

Removing the nuts is a drastic option, don't you think? Or has the Rev been scratching the furniture again?

Thanks for the update. I was just worrying about you guys yesterday. Love and hugs (appreciate the value, that's enough to get me evicted from North Yorkshire!)

Yes, thanks for the update.

Intercontinental hugs inbound.
