Who knew gaming furniture threads were bot catnip?

It's the "Pr0n" in the title. Because any thread with pr0n in the title means naughty things are happening, and the spam needs to be there to...

Ok. I can't finish that without gagging. It's the title that draws them in.

Looks GORGEOUS!

I am jealous of the chairs and stool!! I really wanted to get their seats, but I was already priced out on the massive behemoth table.

What color fabric lid did you get?

I've always wanted to learn woodworking. I think my goal for earning will be making a sweet gaming table.

Thanks. I understand. We weren't sure on the chairs until my wife and I sat in them at Comicpalooza in Houston. We initially added four, but as time went on, I added two more before they started making them. They are definitely comfortable. The high back chairs are designed for 5'3" and taller. The low backs are for 5'1" and shorter people. My wife is 5'2" and is on the cusp, but ultimately she thought the low backs were more comfortable. We compromised with 2 low backs and 2 high backs. The stool is for my 6 year old or as an extra seat. We ended up moving to a new house and determined that 4 chairs around the table were not going to be enough.

The fabric lid is navy speed cloth. I haven't taken a picture of that, yet. When I run my wife through how it all works, I'll put the lid on and take a pic.

Thanks for quoting my post, as I'm too new to have the tags work. This thread is one of the original threads in my search to find Geek Chic table pics a year ago.

Amazing stuff... I just need to get a game room then I can get a table like that.

lol

You know, those tables are expensive as hell, but it sure looks like you're getting your money's worth.

Houston, eh? Care to add your location to your profile?

Man Thistle, that is a gorgeous table. Now I want one. *Looks up price* Holy crap.

It is definitely an expensive table, but the quality and workmanship is outstanding. I'm looking forward to breaking it in.

I'll go ahead and add my location to my profile.

This is why I asked for a miter saw for my birthday.

If you're going to get quality, hand-made, hardwood furniture, you're going to be paying about that much anyway.

Yep, and honestly counting the man hours it would take a decent woodworker in their basement, plus the cost of the wood and it's not a bad deal.

Really nice table Thistle. Love the chairs. You should post some pics of the table in action - always great to see how these get used in real life.

I placed an order for an Emissary with 4 High Backed chairs in April 2013. Still waiting. Been delayed twice now. Current estimate (which seems to be the most solid to date) is delivery late April/early May 2014. Looking forward to it - a year is a long time to justify the expensive to my wife without anything to show for it! Just hope my family decides it was worth the wait.

I'm finally getting around to getting in line for one of these creations, lead time is 12-14 months:(

Anyway, managed to get a Portal authorized from the head department. Anyone out there with a Portal care to share? Like it? Regrets? Accessories?
