Diablo III Catch-All 2.0

I have a game open at the moment, mp7, I've tracked down and cleared the way to numerous elites as well as the kw (generally if you're doing an ubers run you might as well grab the chance at his key too).

I'll be holding this for goodjers; I also have enough keys to open the uber doors. Friend me up; krev#1705

edit; and done, mp7 followed by mp8. Good runs everyone.

Yup.

Crafted gear is some of the cheapest you can get, just need to have a bunch of demon essences. Archon _ of strength are what you should be making, and can easily be best in slot for shoulders, bracers, and even gloves. Buy the plans from the AH, and like 1000 tomes.

lol I just tried MP5 and didnt make it past the first elite. What are good stats for a barb. Im at 2000 str, 1000 vit, 5300 armor, and 105k dps unbuffed.

Armor needs to be 6k (easyish)
Resists need to be over 500ea (easy with buffs)
Crit chance and Crit Damage 50%/500% respectively (somewhat hard)
Lifesteal of 5% or more (1 item + passive)
Deeps w/buffs probably around 150k, over 200k zerked

These are kinda the base mins, some people can exceed these a lot with gear. I know a barb doing 600k DPS. With barbs, lifesteal and damage make you immortal.

Build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/S...

Bash is to gen fury so you can get back to WW/Sprint combo, and repeat it forever. War Cry w/ Impunity for resists (it gets mine over 500), Battle rage for crit, and Zerker for zerking

Ruthless passive for crit chance and dmg, weapons master for DPS, and bloodthirst for 3% lifesteal - all core needs for the Barb.

My gear and this build means I can run through MP7/MP8 without much trouble. MP10 will be in reach when I can get 50/500 crit without compromising the other core stuff in the stat department - but that kind of gear tends to be $$.

You can see I have under 50k life - just don't need it. I steal it too fast.

BTW - Deeps requirements go up exponentially. My deeps are fine for MP7, but a little slow at 8, and unacceptable at 10.

So I did some up grading and reworking of skills and got it to where I think mp5 is relatively easy unless I get crazy.

So I was able to get the plans to drop in mp5. Took me two trys. I think the most important thing for me is to read the elites powers before I charge in. Oh and double packs of champions suck.

Wait till you get mobbed with a couple of elites while fighting a keywarden. That had happened more than once.

Run you fools.

On MP5 I giggle at that with my Witch Doctor. I don't even have to move! I can mostly just stand there and hold down the button for firebats until everything stops moving.

It's way more fun than it has any right to be.

My Monk... yeah she's probably running.

Just killed Diablo on MP10. Wasn't too bad.

Shoal and I ran into MP6 blue elite, yellow elite and the Act 2 keywarden all at the same time. Basically I think we had illusion, frozen, arcane, poison, firechains along with act 2 keywarden spinning attack and vortex. I can usually stand in with firebats but not if I'm getting frozen or have to move away from chains/lasers or getting pulled around with vortex. Knockback/Vortex really is the bane of the Circle of Bats WD.

It was rough, but I had my shiny brand new lvl 60 WD. If I had my Barb it would of been a cake walk for me. The more the merrier.

Bingo. It isn't really the numbers, it is the combinations of skills. Be glad you didn't have both with arcane. I will say though that the elite groups do get their act together for timing their attacks. Vortex you right into frozen while they charge you with chains or arcane. Don't blink.

My Barb is now 22 having just killed Maghda in Normal A2. Hellfire ring + Born set is a lot of bonus XP.

That should be able to get to 60 before you finish nightmare. I got to 55 or 56 when I ran my DH with a Leorics and big ruby.

Good luck. I just got my barb to 60 over the weekend. I am almost done with A2, hell. I will finish through Inferno and then stop playing him until the expansion.

That's my plan too, I just want to have a 60 of each class. Partly because achievements, and partly to have options going into RoS.

Isn't nightmare where it slows down? I was thinking of dropping that one down to MP0 to just burn through, and then finish up in Hell. Or am I mixing those two up?

You will see a big slowdown in NM. It gets really obvious in late A2. What is you current extra XP number? Mine with the Leorics and ruby was 45. If you get to 60 or so it should be enough to finish in NM. It will also help to run in a group since there is a bonus that comes with the increases you get from group play.

I'll have to check tonight, I think mine is 55 or 60 plus the bonus XP per kill. I was just trying to remember where people had said it slowed down, it's been a while since I leveled a new character. I think I'll just push NM down to MP0, blaze through, and then finish up the last few levels faster in Hell.

No you aren't mixing them up. The end of act 3 nightmare is where mp10 bogs down.

It is funny, I had joined friends inferno games on the way to 60 and post 60 on my DH. I hadn't realized that I was woefully far behind in my own progress in the story. So I had to power through act3 and 4 hell difficulty and gained a paragon level and a half.

The good news is that I went from 15k -36k damage and got a bunch of res all that I sorely needed. (I had practically none and now have ~150) I was getting one-shotted by the blacksmith's wife and the skeleton guy who trapped Cain in the cathedral on inferno mp3.

My life is only 20k but that was the cost (4k health) for 20k damage and 100 res all. That is a good trade any which way you slice it.

Crazy enough, over 50% of those upgrades were vendor bought pieces. For instance I found some boots that were +4 armor, +20 dex, and 38 res all instead of 47 int. I also found a chest piece that was only a hair less armor, 40 more dex over triple socketed emeralds, and ~200 life per second.

So I am wondering if they have been doing stealth changes to itemization? I also found a few pieces that were +% damage to specific skills. I don't recall that being on the vanilla server, only on the PTR. Am I wrong? Is anyone else noticing this?

Hell was worse than Nightmare for me. I'd say get as much out of Nightmare as you can (it's very likely you can get 60). Then get a cheap high dps weapon, put it on MP0 and just literally run through Hell.

They've definitely done a lot of patching to items. I don't recall seeing % damage to specific skills before, but didn't they patch in part of the loot 2.0 changes a little while ago?

NM was easy, hell was where it slowed down for me, until I hit 60. If you're 60, and have any decent gear at all, hell is a cakewalk at MP10.

That is where I am now. Got gear and am blasting through hell now. I should finish it tonight if I just hit the quests.

After 500+ hours I finally got a legendary blacksmithing recipe to drop. Not that its any good, but I can't believe I actually saw one drop.

I actually got a legendary bow one on my witch doctor at like level 30 (thus the bow was like level 23 or something?). Still feels weird that it doesn't require anything other than the regular mats.

Let me ask some advice - I lurk in the thread and rarely post. I am pretty well geared on my Witch Doctor who is 60+3. I burned through Normal, Hard, Hell all on MP 10. I got to Inferno and MP 3 is about the best I can handle - is that about right solo? I shamefully admit I took $20 bucks and bought the best gear I could find - both Armor and Weapons. I did that for all my main guys. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

I've done the same thing and can run my wizard at mp4 or mp5. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sunk a few bucks into the game to make life a bit easier

Have you messed with your spec at all? I went through 3 that are supposed to be amazing which didn't work well for me (it could be that I just was playing them incorrectly). Once I found a good spec I've found that I am doing MUCH better than I had originally started at. Inferno was absolutely nuts and the MP did have to come way down when I started it. I think I started at 2 or 3, now up to 5. Did better gear drop? Nope! But I shopped the AH every day and found some decent stuff

Add me if you ever need someone to run with. Dethroned#1718. On just about every night 8p-midnight. Lately I have been doing Infernal Machine runs with Dr_Awkward and a coworker but if I'm free I'll definitely help.

Thanks - I found MP 3 is the sweetspot for me - not getting one shotted. I havent really tried to many builds - I like the one I have - Fire Spiders, Zombie Bears, Grasping Hands, of course the Zombie Dogs, and Behemoth. Not sure what an infernal machine is - I see you guys talking about it, and I assume it gets you to better loot, but that's the extent of my knowledge.

I spent a few bucks and bought gold on the RMAH a while back, and used that to buy gear for my Wizard. But yeah. I think I'm running MP5 now without much trouble using a build I like (ie. not the CM/WW build). Getting to MP10 solo is really demanding in terms of gear, or just really difficult. I like things to explode when I look at them sideways, and so wouldn't find MP10 to be terribly fun even if I could handle it at this point (no idea, I've never tried).
